  • Sanath - yeah these are very good exercises for cricket bowlers - I bowl leg spin and these help with my rotator cuff.

  • it will help you with balance in contact. Reduce chance of injury in your shoulder complex. Also help with your pass or shot (muscles that help you rotate).

  • It works on your chest, shoulder complex, and core. In rugby you often have to resist a player on one side of your body. They don't come at you like a bench press. Doing rotational push ups help to build on that training philosophy. In rugby term it should help you to push away a tackler and numerous other activities on the rugby field.
