@toknow07: His point is we fund Israel, so yes we have an interest in what they do. At other times, he makes his position clear, that we should stay out of Israel's way and let them do what they want to.
Yes, because of blow back. He is saying it is a natural response to anyone that has their nation occupied. Whether it's right or not, or whether they are right or not is beside the point. The point is, they are naturally going to attack us, and to say, "It's because we are America." Is absurd.
@toknow07 And as a person of Jewish heritage, I do have an invested interest in Israel's future, the problem is, the U.S. because of it's "Aid" has always considered itself to have the "right opinion" in what Israel does. I, like Paul, believe we shouldn't give anyone aid (including the enemies of Israel who we fund with Billions), and we should let them make their own decisions. With their purchased weapons. And their 100 some odd nukes.
@toknow07 And my last comment about weapons and nukes refers to Israel, a country that could effectively reduce the Middle East to a scrap pile.
Oh wait, they are honestly powerful?! Yes. They are. And they should stay that way. And we should let them trade, and build their own economy and we shouldn't help build the economies of their enemies, by giving them aid, and using their oil.
Instead, lets drill at home! Lets not stop our offshore drilling lets triple it! Let's get clean energy! etc
Israel has been a very reliable friend to US in the middle east for all these years. When I say friends I mean we share lot’s of common democratic views and values with them. Entire Arabic world has been supplying Palestinians with weapons in attempt to get rid of Israel. Israel won’t survive without US support among so many enemies! What Ron Paul suggest is take my friend just don’t touch me! I wouldn’t want to be Ron’s friend in a bad situation!
@come2papppa 'ENTIRE ARAB WORLD SUPPLYING PALESTINIANS W WEAPONS'....is a false statement, for if it were ture, Israel would not have been destroyed by now. As you can see, the only people so far, who are suffering are the Palestinians, which Israelis collectively punish for their Government. When Israel bombs Gaza, it is becasue 'they are defending themselves'..when Hamas bombs Israel.'..they are terrorists'. It is ridiculous.
Never forget--Palestine is Arab lands. Ashkenazi so called Jew/ vermin have infested these lands. So aMess, please explan to us why the native arabs can't lob rockets and dispell the FKRS back to Russia

Israel allows 15,000 tons of supplies into Gaza on a weekly basis, plus Hamas actually turned away the flotilla’s “humanitarian aid” when Israel tried to give it to them. But this qualifies as “concentration camp” in crazy Unlce Ron’s eyes.
@mcv47 Bullshit, they prevent all kinds of much needed supplies from getting in because they can be "used as weapons". There is a massive humanitarian crisis inside of Gaza because of this inhumane blockade that is only successful in punishing and hurting innocent people for the misdeeds of a few.
Taysir Al Burai--a child--is severely disabled in Gaza. He requires round-the-clock medical care. If he were allowed to leave Gaza, he could make a full recovery. But Israel will not let him. 15,000 tons is nothing to 1.5 million people.
@randyguitarman13 Check out an article (if you can find the time to educate yourself a bit) written by an emergency physician. I figure that you won't bother since it will upset your mindset but it will definitely give you something to think about.
We "finance" Iraq - does that mean its our responsibily every time an iraqi idiot explodes themselve along with 50 other arabs?
Ron Paul supports dictators and fights democricy

@toknow07 That "Iraqi" isn't an "ally" in any form of the word. He would actually be fighting against us, so that argument is fallacious.

@GoshenequalsOcean Ron Paul acts as an advocat for those who attacked us - he blames US!
He never blames the attackers - unless israel attacked. I never heard him mention anyone attacking israel instead he is busy acting as their lawyers.

Maybe you should see the list of items that are banned which includes LOTS of various food and fabrics and building materials.

@beyondwithinitself I was wrong since I said weekly....Even the AP admits that Israel allows 15 TONS of good into the Gaza strip EVERY DAY:
If you want a link to the AP article, I will send it to you.

@mcv47 yes, that would be nice. i tried googling it but all of the sources I found for the 15-ton figure were biased.

@beyondwithinitself Was it a good enough (unbiased) source?

@mcv47 15 tons of what kind of food, and for how many people, would be the logical question, oh.... and the word "Allows" kind of sucks too, Huh?
