@Mikencz - Okay, well, the funny fact of the matter is that the day after releasing STP 1.0 for Windows, I worked out a fair bit better version. Added a few good features and figured out a means to add more voice profiles. I haven't released it, mostly because I don't have a really friendly way for others to add voice profiles, but I can just have instructions, it's not that hard to do yourself - just run a separate installer. Anyway, I could be compelled to release the new version very soon

I wish I could have a choice of different VOICES to use this....it's not fun otherwise...good idea but i NEEEEEED voice options...10 years ago I could pick an "old lady" option and pitch her voice as low or high as I wanted...it was amazing!!! Especially for leaving messages on machines.

Why is there only the choice of 1 voice (Microsoft Anna)? I want to be able to have the choice of changing the voice and pitch and level of the voice (at the same levels as the old shittalker version 1.2)!

@JNSBSB - Yeah yeah yeah... I know, I'm pissed about that too. I can break out controls for a few voice parameters, but the actual overall profile is being a whore of a problem. I'm still working on it, but at least you've got something at all now.

Is there a way to integrate the features of shittalker version 1.2 (the version I was using on my machinima that refuses to work on windows 7) and add it to shittalker phoenix! I want to be able to create different voices rather than using default voices! Being stuck with default voices sucks! And I'm afraid to say this, but using default of anything is so yesterday and out of style!

@JNSBSB Okay, well, we'll have to figure something out. Maybe I'll need to use a different speech engine than the built-in Microsucks one.

The original ST was made with Visual Basic, maybe it could be re-compiled and simply work on Windows 7. But I don't have the source code, if you get it, email it to me and I'll try. I'll try some more on the voice front when I get home (starting in a few hours).

@jamessnell I'm not a computer expert, I am not a hacker, either, so there's no way I could hack anything to get to a source code! The only thing I could think of is just downloading the original version 1.2, but that may be complicated as you also have a windows 7 PC!

@NaviLight I doubt it.. However, good news, I've got the lion's share of a Windows version done. I still need to add several things such as voice profile selection (though that's looking like something for a later release). But the core of it is all done and exists! I haven't released it just yet though. You can check back here or on my blog, I'll make an obvious comment when it goes up!

OS X may be fantastic (and I can get it on my X86 hardware) I prefer Win7, it's an 'at home' feel, I'm no fn of MS but I hate Apple, they're no better! iPod? iPhone? I've looked a little in to it.. We'll see, I've got all the tools to do it (legit too).. But that said, I kinda hate Windows.. Granted that, I kinda hate Apple too (though OSX is fantastic). Linux FTW.

Anyway, I'll probably make a Windows version sooner or later.

I actually wrote a Java version awhile ago that works on Windows, but installation of that one is so ugly I didn't want to distribute it.

Sweet, alright, well I'd like to hear a few more people ask for a Windows version, but each request helps. I'll definitely keep it in mind. And for what it's worth, the first Shit Talker Phoenix was something I made with Java and I developed it in Windows - but making it installable to other computers turned out to be insanely annoying.
