You know, to be perfectly honest, this is not the lowest Gundam has stooped to. As many fans as there are for SD Gundam (myself included), let's face it, that was not made with the adult audience in mind. To be honest, this series looks good to me. Its nice to see Gundam do something not so dark and gritty for a change (Don't get me wrong, that's where they thrive best, Gundam Wing is still my favorite Gundam series after all). But opposing tastes, I guess.
Try a UC series, if the old animation bugs you then go with Unicorn first. Anyway I have high hopes for the 2nd generation of AGE, the MS designs are getting better and the characters are looking a bit more "mature", the story has also been getting darker since the Don died.
For all the haters out there dont even say that AGE is babish and not mature enough to be good, because ur all complaining about a show you haven't even seen yet based of its looks like a bunch of 6 year olds. The first gundam was created for kids and victory had nearly an all child cast was pure epic death fest. so why dont u guys GTFO the internet or actually use ur brains.

this series is more like gundam meets Gurren Lagann, but thats just me. and in all retrospect, the main character in AGE(Flit) is much more emotionally mature than any kid in the same circumstances would have any right to be. his level of maturity is on the same level as Kite from the original .Hack games. they both seem to enjoy being kids, but when either asked or given the chance to step up to the plat, they both willingly do it. this series is amazing, i give it two thumbs up!
lol on people judging this series because of the artwork. I looked down on it too. But ep 1 and 2 got me in to it .. it reminds a bit of the original Gundams series surprisingly ..

This looks like it'll be bad. I'm a Gundam fan.... but this looks like a little kids tv show. Gundam 00 was the best of the newer series, I wish Age could be on that level. But from the looks of it, this show will mostly appeal to children. That's a shame.

The problem is not about the "AGE".. actually it can be best story ever, in short it seems like there is no war going around between colonies and earthling, not its something different like "alien something unkown" atacking one of colonies ETC, soemthing familair happend with Gundam 00 movie. But kill me... The design of characters reminds me of old Marvel design from 40 years ago (or 30). Gundam 0079 was great and will be still. Age can be familiar but making an "Age" looking like 0079 in 2011?

@amnoobie I don't know why People hate Turn A Gundam, it's only prehistoric in concept and setting but the story doesn't get boring nor is it interesting. Heck, the main character a black guy from the moon, that's got to be first for Gundam right there. Plus, Gundam AGE isn't really for kids, just so you know I think Kira Yamato/Athrun Zala would be the same size as those kids too if you use that type of graphic that AGE is using. I mean come on, it look like it came out of Pokemon.
I just felt the main character looked abit too young. It seemed as if a pokemon player driving an adult's toy! The mobile suit looked very old, or raw like the earliest gundam. But i do have expectations on these as i thought there could be potentials for the kids to grow into adult and become better driver. Then the mobile suits also have a lot of potential to be upgraded. If these two issues aren't touched, then hopefully the editor must have something new and unpredictable for all gundam fans

Goddamnit Sunrise!! Ever since Wing I went back to watch all the gundam animes before my time, started right from the 0079 One Year War. Those were the best years of my life thus far! Seed and Destiny was a great disappointing attempt to sum up UC's One Year War till Zeta Gundam, hated it. But 00 was there to save it. Now Age? Is this your attempt to bait younger audiences? Okay, I'm cool with that. But hell I'm only gonna watch the new Unicorn. Cause these kids look obnoxiously annoying!
@rclsm1021 do remember, many Gundam fans started as a child but we are just grown up now, and maybe because they know that we DO indeed still have Unicorn, they would want to spread the Gundam glory to children too. I mean c'mon , aliens? the only way this series going to survive is a major suspense in a latter episodes whr the aliens is actually human-race ( the drake is actually ms) , politically hidden by the conspiration and etc . @ipekatomang if well developed, i think it will flesh out well. plus we don't really know for sure what these "aliens" are anyways. there are countless possibilities of how the writing team will direct this show. gundam has switched multiple genres are styles throughout the generations, and ALL of them were good and successful. plus, again, this is to promote Gundam to a younger generation, because we older generations have had many versions already. =).
Why do so manny people forget Tomino intended the origional Gundam for children. This is nothing new Gundam has always had the ocasional more light hearted kid friendly series to shake things up.

Watch 0079, then you will see why. unless you like men who look like women and pussy ass pilots.

Guess what: Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 was a KIDS SHOW. And you know what? you were probably a kid watching those back in the day. So let Bandai open up to a broader audience by producing more KIDS SHOWS. Bandai is simply letting more people know about Gundam.

They look like they are a mix of sonic x, Captain Harlock, and Beyblade charcters.. Yeah, I know someone is going to say look past it and at the story. My problem is, and always will be, that serious content and kiddy animation make terrible anime. It's why I watch the older stuff mainly. I want my gundam pilots to at least look their age and demon killers to be something more than highschool/middle school girls and boys.

Uso looks like Kid Gohan, bowl cut and all, and Puru looks nowhere near sexual maturity, certainly no older then 11. the character designs are awful. Too childish looking. But what can you expect when you get the Professor Leyton guys to design them? The gundams look ok but aliens? Obviously its aimed at kids but i dont know why they did that and changed the political and complex agenda of the "real" gundam series, into a pathetic little merchandising piece of shit. Putting little children into giant death dealing mecha suits is just ridiculous. I will watch it though (whilst turning red)
God help us all. I want to get excited about this, I really do! I've loved all of the Gundam series so far, sure I have some beefs about SEED but I still like it. Just hearing and looking at the photos from this makes my stomach turn...
The character designs look like a cross between Pokemon and 70s super robot shows, the mech designs do not float my boat and I will bet you anything the plain looking ship has a gimmick or two.
On the other hand, I enjoyed SDF Macross, so human vs alien real robot can work for me and there was clear character death. Also, with the portrait of the RX 78-2, there is a hint towards Turn A and the Black History.
I know I'm not the market here, it may work if the plot is good. Not going to buy kits.

@naruto3k5 Actually, as if they make Gunpla builder into TV series i would gladly accept it, why ? The concept convince me it's for kid, it's cheerful like Tiger&Bunny. You think that you can pick up on standard people they will just shut up and listen. But when you didn't expect to see people have wider point of view. I don't deny the intention of that gundam is for kid but the way the approach is poor, in short, the story teller in AGE is sucks even though the story is decent.

this series is more like gundam meets Gurren Lagann, but thats just me. and in all retrospect, the main character in AGE(Flit) is much more emotionally mature than any kid in the same circumstances would have any right to be. his level of maturity is on the same level as Kite from the original .Hack games. they both seem to enjoy being kids, but when either asked or given the chance to step up to the plat, they both willingly do it. this series is amazing, i give it two thumbs up!

The problem is not about the "AGE".. actually it can be best story ever, in short it seems like there is no war going around between colonies and earthling, not its something different like "alien something unkown" atacking one of colonies ETC, soemthing familair happend with Gundam 00 movie. But kill me... The design of characters reminds me of old Marvel design from 40 years ago (or 30). Gundam 0079 was great and will be still. Age can be familiar but making an "Age" looking like 0079 in 2011?

@amnoobie I don't know why People hate Turn A Gundam, it's only prehistoric in concept and setting but the story doesn't get boring nor is it interesting. Heck, the main character a black guy from the moon, that's got to be first for Gundam right there. Plus, Gundam AGE isn't really for kids, just so you know I think Kira Yamato/Athrun Zala would be the same size as those kids too if you use that type of graphic that AGE is using. I just felt the main character looked abit too young. It seemed as if a pokemon player driving an adult's toy! The mobile suit looked very old, or raw like the earliest gundam. But i do have expectations on these as i thought there could be potentials for the kids to grow into adult and become better driver. Then the mobile suits also have a lot of potential to be upgraded. If these two issues aren't touched, then hopefully the editor must have something new and unpredictable for all gundam fans

Goddamnit Sunrise!! Ever since Wing I went back to watch all the gundam animes before my time, started right from the 0079 One Year War. Those were the best years of my life thus far! Seed and Destiny was a great disappointing attempt to sum up UC's One Year War till Zeta Gundam, hated it. But 00 was there to save it. Now Age? Is this your attempt to bait younger audiences? Okay, I'm cool with that. But hell I'm only gonna watch the new Unicorn. Cause these kids look obnoxiously annoying!

As Gundam lovers, we don't really want to see this franchise to die off completely right? I say, bring it on, have the new generation learn about Gundam, and we get to have a bigger community. =).

@ipekatomang if well developed, i think it will flesh out well. plus we don't really know for sure what these "aliens" are anyways. there are countless possibilities of how the writing team will direct this show. gundam has switched multiple genres are styles throughout the generations, and ALL of them were good and successful. plus, again, this is to promote Gundam to a younger generation, because we older generations have had many versions already. =).

Episode 4 WAS intended to be released spring of last year, thats right, just 4 months from the release of 2. BUT, because of AGE, it has been put off until november of this year. one month after AGEs supposed debut. SEED was shit. pure and utter shit. Watch 0079, then you will see why. unless you like men who look like women and pussy ass pilots.

They look like they are a mix of sonic x, Captain Harlock, and Beyblade charcters.. Yeah, I know someone is going to say look past it and at the story. My problem is, and always will be, that serious content and kiddy animation make terrible anime. It's why I watch the older stuff mainly. I want my gundam pilots to at least look their age and demon killers to be something more than highschool/middle school girls and boys.

By all means if you wish for this to continue go for it. But as for me im off to play some DW Gundam 2. Can't wait for DW gundam 3 :D

the character designs are awful. Too childish looking. But what can you expect when you get the Professor Leyton guys to design them? The gundams look ok but aliens? Obviously its aimed at kids but i dont know why they did that and changed the political and complex agenda of the "real" gundam series, into a pathetic little merchandising piece of shit. Putting little children into giant death dealing mecha suits is just ridiculous. I will watch it though (whilst turning red)

God help us all. I want to get excited about this, I really do! I've loved all of the Gundam series so far, sure I have some beefs about SEED but I still like it. Just hearing and looking at the photos from this makes my stomach turn...
This is gonna be a one hell of a ride.

The character designs look like a cross between Pokemon and 70s super robot shows, the mech designs do not float my boat and I will bet you anything the plain looking ship has a gimmick or two.
On the other hand, I enjoyed SDF Macross, so human vs alien real robot can work for me and there was clear character death. Also, with the portrait of the RX 78-2, there is a hint towards Turn A and the Black History.
I know I'm not the market here, it may work if the plot is good. Not going to buy kits.
