Never mind the name of the song. I just saw the description and saw the name of the song. Again, I really appreciate your video and what you are trying to accomplish in keeping Sedona a safe and beautiful place for future generations.
The music and pictures make a perfect combination. This actually made up my wife and I minds for a special place to stay at for our vacation in Arizona. Truly a magical place.
And miraculously - even prettier in person! :) I love living in Arizona!!! So much more to offer than people realize. Mountains to the north - Lake Powell - and of course, pristine Sedona. Native American heritage to treasure and revere. The most beautiful vistas in the world...
great pictures! Perfect song accompaniment as well. thanks for posting & I hope to see some of the beauty here in a few weeks-I just hope it won't be snowing b/c I'm a Cali girl ;-)
Funny enough.. Im actually sitting in bed at the Days Inn after my first day/night in Sedona. I must agree with the arguments below. I came here 2 years ago and was immediately in love with the natural beauty this placed offered. Living in the NY/NJ east coast chaos, Sedona was and still is the place to recharge the batteries. I must agree with the fact that this time around, the area seems a bit more modernized for the likings of tourists. Sedona should be left in its purest form!!
@TeDtheUnDeAd This request is ridiculous. If there is ever one structure built that honors Sedona's beauty, it is Church Of The Rock - a place of worship. Great care was taken to build this into the mountain and not on it. It blends beautifully and causes praise for all that enter and look out. Petition this? Why not all of the golf courses and resorts blotting the sacred land in the name of capitalism? Enchantment Resort should not even be legal, let alone "private land".
@Sundance8989 i dont believe in in destroying any part of the land but like anything it is a matter of opinion i wouldnt say it is ridiculous my relatives live in Alta Mesa ive been there every few years since i was a boy and in that brief amount of time ive seen so much of everything destroyed i used to dream if i could live anywhere in the world it would be with my family there but now to see structures beautiful or not in places the earth did not create herself its heartbreaking
@TeDtheUnDeAd Well by your own words, you need to petition the home of your relatives and tear it down too. Lol Unless your relatives are living in a tree, they are living in a "structure the earth did not create herself". While you're at it, tear down the 10,000 plus other homes too (that aren't natural huts). As I said, ridiculous. I agree that Sedona is too built up, but to single out a church that honors Sedona's beauty and not all the homes and commercial businesses?? Come on.
@Sundance8989 i agree tear it all down the way the world is designed today makes people into introverts the technology today is designed to where you dont really have to leave your house then people wonder why there are so many mental illnesses we should start from scratch life may have been harder in in the earlier US but they were busy and didnt have excess amounts of time to dream themselves into depression of where their lives were at the moment because they were occupied
@TeDtheUnDeAd I don't think your solution is very practical, but your observation of the current state of affairs and why they exist are spot on, as well as the contrast to yesteryear. Strong thoughts and wisdom concerning the effects of excess time too. I've gotten the impression that you are young, which makes statements even more profound. Thanks for sharing. Your deeper philosophy better explains your original post and feelings.
@Sundance8989 im 28 and im an eagle scout ive learned to survive in the outdoors with nothing more then a knife a rope and a box of matches ive learned to love and respect the land in its most basic form
@Sundance8989 people ask me all the time why i refuse to buy a cellphone or a car they say what if i get lost or need to get somewhere far i just say this as long as there are stars in the sky i will never be lost and as long as there are two legs attached to my feet i can walk theres no experience in convenience
I lived in Sedona from 1976-1980. now going back I could cry what they've done to it, plowed it under, turned it into an amusment park, Red Rock Crossing where a few people would visit a day, we'd go pick wild black berries, now all paved over and charging for parking, dirty Pampers all over the place, boom boxes and trashy people
I'm sorry you feel that way. Please don't judge Sedona as a whole because one little spot you used to pick wild black berries in is now a parking lot. It's probably a good thing you don't live there anymore, because Sedona could do without people like you, so keep your negative comments to yourself because nobody wants to hear them. This video speaks for itself on how beautiful this place really is. The point here is to KEEP it beautiful.
Agreed. I visited my American Indian grandfather here often in the 1980's. It was paradise then. Now everything you see here has been paved over with parking lots and shopping centers and fast food, with giant neon signs blocking the scenery and blotting out the stars, chasing away the animals with noise and dirt and human filth. Paradis lost. We dropped the ball on this folks. It should have been a national park. Now it's a monument to stupidity.
@dude28mack Totally agree. Sedona has something no place on earth has, why wasn't that enough? No, they incorporated into a city and that was the downfall, Plowed up the red rock and put in shopping malls, outlet malls, signs all over, parking lots and now charge to see the scenery. Why wasn't Sedona, as it was, enough? They turned it into a circus. Still beautiful but nothing like just a few years ago. so sad they carved it up merchandised Sedona, like a thing, not a place.
Absolutely AMAZING and very well put together. This is such an inspirational and moving video. I really am speechless every time I watch it! I went there last year and plan to go again very soon. Kudos to "KeepSedonaBeautiful" for sharing this.
Powerful, Amazing, Timeless, Breathtaking, etc. both Sedona itself and this Beautiful Wonderful accurate representation of this glorious place. Thank you Thank you Thank you
Yes, you are right. Our filing system didn't identify by artist in the judging, which is where these wonderful images came from. Next year we'll do it different. Thanks for your comment.
If people think these photos are gorgeous, they aint seen nothing.
I live in Prescott and its really pretty here, but Sedona is like a fairy tale- surely one of the most gorgeous places on earth, and NO crime hardly, like Prescott.
Thanks for posting (above right grey box) the soundtrack music/artist for this inspiring video...the pictures say so much more than all the words in the world can say!
What more do you need to show? We need s National Scenic Area designation to protect these vistas so future generations can experience what we do now -- vistas many of us who live here take for granted.
Wonderfully done video and very informative comments. Sedona deserves all the protection from potential development that is available. Become involved protect Sedona's natural beauty.
Makes me feel even more grateful that I have lived here since 1991. Every day there is new and different light and shadow on these magnificent red rocks. Sights to behold all around us. I love it here.
Beautiful, I enjoyed watching the rhythm of the pictures, the zooming in synchronization and with the music. From whom is the music? I hope from a local Sedona musician?
Gorgeous - the kind of thing one actually WISHES were a slide show for ease of lingering longer on a particular shot. Excellent sound. (Lyrics...could you post those - in English?)
the words are distracting.

@eckankar very much so, you can tell the place is "breath taking" and "awe inspiring" without having to have the word ruin the flow of the video
