  • you guys had terrific costumes

a lot of people end up with pieces from the forties and some even from the fifties

you guys look like you really researched the time period :)

  • @myhairiswaving Interestingly, this is supposed to be 1922. 1940s and '50s men's fashions do not belong in this show. Fashion research would have avoided this.

  • @RayPointer It's amazing to see the horrific costumes a High School or even college costumer will put on their actors. I swear half of them just go to thrift stores and vintage shops and say "This looks old" and throw it in the bag.

I'm a fashion enthusiast for the 20s-70s so I get erked by little things like that

According to Youtube I hadn't watched this video for a year and it still shocks me how well the designer did

  • @myhairiswaving yes........ except this musical takes place in the late nineteen twenties. =/ It even says so in the opening number

  • @Hexelsfayt

    1. I was talking about how bad some schools were with keeping with the time period. Not how awesome it was that people jump 30 years ahead.

    2. "This is 1922!" I would say '22 is closer to early 20s rather than late. Wouldn't you?

  • @myhairiswaving I know EXACTLY what you are talking about! I headed costume all throughout HS, and our director was SICK of my nitpickyness when it came to finding the proper designs in the proper period ( She admitted that she barely passed costuming in college) -- that AND quality. I hate it when it looks like everything is halfassesd and vaguely tossed together. And horrible tacky colors. When I watch a show, the costumes are the first thing I criticize.

  • The girl playing Millie has an awesome voice and is gorgeous!

  • Millie looks stunning in her new modern costume.

  • FAB U LOUS opening to a show!

  • we're putting on a production of this in the summer. any tips anyone for auditions?

  • that depends on who you want to audition for or if you're a director or something.

  • Take tapdancing lessons. Or watch the videos here on YouTube that can teach you how to tapdance. There are only a few tap numbers in the musical, but if you can tap, then you can learn the other dances (which are somewhat tap-ish, too). And use a song that showcases your high range. Whether you're a bass or an alto, everyone has to sing in their upper register at some point in this show.

  • the last few secs-when ppl were taking her stuff was funny!!=]Very good!Excellent choreography!

  • amazing choreography. amazing voices. amazing show.

  • What a very lovely voice!!

And a nice hair piece, wig, extension, natural, whatever. It's pretty!

  • I saw this production, and I thought it was amazing!

  • I've watched a few of the videos from this show... and I have to say I think everyone is amazing! Great stuff!
