I agree that this was a remake that kicked ass and I hear that Sci-Fi channel is doing yet another remake/prequel of this movie which to me is just sad. This movie is still scary and gory and exciting in more ways than one. Carpenter did good on this one.

Most definitely not deserving of the prequel thats been in the works as of late. Whats with Hollywood man!. Prequels to films that need no such distinction. It stands on it's own..as does Escape From NY..not needing of a remake/revision or any variation that some assjack could possibly come up with.

wow, that's the first i've heard of a prequal. pretty ridiculous, Hollywood really has no original thinkers. it will probably be some PG-13 Micheal Bay produced piece of crap. keep up these great uplods my friend :)

Remakes are suppose to reintroduce new generations to movies, stories and ideas they just can't get easy or privy access too. Some of your fave movies could be remakes did you know that?
