  • Boy, I was fifteen when "Fire" came out - and I tell you, folks, my time of being a teenager was over!

  • His album is very cool, so much more to this acid fiend than Fire

  • oh yes!

  • come and buy has always gave me a evil tingle simply love it

  • Thanks for turning us on to this!

  • Arthur Brown is the man. Brilliant album.

  • Thanks this is great

  • metalheads WISH they could be dark as this!

  • Surely they dream about it :-)

  • Pretty much all of his songs were about people roasting alive in Hell; yeah, that's pretty damn dark! The keyboardist makes Jon Lord sound like effin' Liberace.

  • Keyboard is Vincent Crane - later Atomic Rooster.

  • @DRGasMoney i am into metal but this is pure fuking madness even ozzy ahve to do a cover of this to my screaming jay artur brown king dimanod on the black roses and alice copper this is throots of darkness metal is ok but this is just plain evil man beyon metal

  • Thank you! Arthur Brown is my favourite

  • This man is the God of Hellfire, there is no fucking doubt.

  • Terrific stuff, this! Was Vincent Crane still in the band at this time? Carl Palmer, too?

  • Vincent was there for sure. I think Carl Palmer joined the band after their USA tour in 1969 (correct me if I'm wrong). Before Carl the drummer was Drachen Theaker. So it is Drachen you can hear on this recording.

Drachen was really addicted to drugs and they say he couldn't keep the tempo (but I can't hear that at all) and Vincent was fed up with him. Arthur had choice - to keep Vincent or Drachen. Vincent stayed and the new drummer was Carl.

  • Vincent is incredible!!! Peace, Andrea

  • its drachen. palmer's set had a jass tuning and this is rock. and palmer only with the crazy world in germany and america if im correct "his words"

  • Hello! Is this released as official CD, or only available from the internet download? BBC Arthur Brown

    Thanks

    Victor

  • It's unofficial.

  • brill this, thanks, arthur and me talked many times b4 gigs, I even recorded them from 72 on , but after transferring them to 7 inch tape threw them away. arghhh.
