normaly an Ipod has a built in alarm function, if you use this, the alarm (with your music) will sound through the speakers =D

hey guys i have a question and it would be awsome if you could help me.

so i have a media player with a micro usb port and i was wandering if theres any docking system that has instead of an iphone/ipod port a micro usb port.

i know theres a 3.5 mm jack that i can connect to but that's not as stylish as having your device stand on top of the system. PLZ HELP ME OUT!

actually you can connect it to your pc and use it as your pc speakers, you would just have to buy a cable for that, 3,5 mm, and it works, i've got an iphone, but i can now connect it with my lg arena :D it really is worth it

The fact that the iphone doesn't really sit deep in the dock shouldn't really be considered as a flaw, because it actually says on the box that it is designed for ipods, but it is compatible with iphones. So yeah, This was designed with an ipod n mind :)

I really like my iHome! Nice sound quality from such small speakers. And you can set an alarm playlist. It also has radio and you can get calls when you have it on the dock. (If you have an iPhone, you don't have to put it on airplane mode.) I'd reccomend it!
