I cry every time I hear this song and especially when I see him perform it live. This song is the only reason why I'm still alive today. I may not have diabetes but it helped me to stay strong after my mother passed away from Leukemia. I can never thank Nick enough for giving me my life back. He is my inspiration.

no one will ever understand how it feels to be low ... or the tips of your fingers are raw because you have to prick your finger 10 times a day ... but none of that even comes close to having to give yourself insulin into your tummy and then being able to eat ; while all of your friends can eat and snack all day long ! being type 1 diabetes sucks , you just gotta take 1 day a time and tell yourself you can do this <3

i love how the song starts out very slow, symbolizing the pain and the feeling that nothing will ever feel right again, then movies into a much more upbeat tempo showing that our problems define us and make us unique, and finally goes back to being slow, showing that we can handle our pain but it never really goes away.. I. LOVE. THIS. SONG. <3
