Why do people keep saying these are mortar rounds? These are RPG's that are coming in...I spent 18 months straight in Afghanistan at FOB Salerno nicknamed Rocket City because it was literally 1 mile away from Pakistan and got hammered almost daily by RPG's and mortar rounds. RPG's always make a whistling sound while mortars you only hear them upon impact.

this was a FOB in Afghanistan AOE. mortar attacks so you guys are right on that. These guys were on a patrol outside of thier FOB when they started to have in coming rounds... Artillery fired off rounds in the general area to make them hide... not missiles nor a convoy... fale!
