  • REBEL SONGS ARE AIMED AT PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO AIM IN LIFE.

WHY DO YOU THINK LOWER CLASS FOUL MOUTHED VULGAR PEOPLE SIT IN PUBS EFFING AND BLINDING?

IS THERE SOMETHINIG WE COULD PUT INTO THEIR DRINKS TO STOP THEM FROM BREEDING LIKE FUCKING RABBITS AND LICE?

  • ACCORDING TO THICKS, JAMES CONNOLLY WAS IRISH (IF YOU DON'T MIND)>

he was not. the great man was an INTERNATIONALIST from the State of Scotland. Just because his mammy or granny was from ireland does NOT make him irish. If so, why is LORD KICHENER not called Irish? Or the duke of wellington? CONNOLLY WAS SCOTTISH. WHY TAKE THAT AWAY FROM THE MAN WHO, LIKE JESUS, GAVE HIS LIFE FOR PEOPLE????? he certainly wasted his time with we Southern Irish, didn't he? DON'T SAY HE DIDNT.

  • fantastic

    Thank you Johnny McEvoy.........God Bless!

  • James connolly was scottish.......

  • @ranbrent Well done Scotland, I'm sure they have built huge statues in his memory! My fight for Scottish freedom by James Connolly?

  • @ranbrent He was an Irishman, he was an internationalist, he was a socialist, he was a humanist, he was a REPUBLICAN!

  • @jarsonist James connolly born in scotland a person you should surely know that..

  • @ranbrent He died in Ireland, fighting for Irish freedom. I was born in Lebanon to Irish parents, dosen't make me an Arab though.

  • @jarsonist hate to break it to you...but it kinda dose if i was born italy and moved to china when i was 5 i would be italian :)

  • who gives a fuck where he was born .....its where he died and wat he died for that matters....tiocfaidh ar la

  • @flyingflynn100 was i talking to you? no i was talking to someone who said he was born in ireland

and if you're putting it that way then don't forget the people who faught for ireland when they weren't even irish

man you really don't respect james connolly enough then do you?

  • Johnny you sing just as good as you "ever" sung - sláinte!

  • Despite me being English, I'm a republican from an Irish family and very proud that James Connolly is a distant cousin of mine. RIP.

  • It is a shame the establishment will always be labeled with and they will always deny blame of............but, Oh!, they are to blame.

  • R.I.P JAMES CONNOLLY BRAVE AN HEROIC IRISHMAN

  • i totally agree the forces off the crown are really are a twisted bunch off people, and should never be trusted including lower level departments the things they dream up to get information is incredible from people wouldt give them 2pence

  • A1 song!!! Well sung!!!

  • hate to point out the obvious, but Jim Connolly was a son of Edinburgh, & a Martyr for Ireland! Why deny him his birth right now? He was a Scot? Proud & clear!

  • @DonegalRaymie201, Connolly's census returns of 1901 and 1911 have Monaghan, Ireland as his place of birth. He filled the forms.

  • @CillRos

He was born in Edinburgh, his da' came from Monaghan. There's a plaque on the actual house in Edinburgh's Cowgate area where he was born. His first job after leaving the army was with the Scottish Socialist Union, where he worked with the Clyde shipyard workers.

Accounts by folk who heard him give speches, describe his "booming voice & strong Scots brogue"!

He had a life before 1916.

As for the census, he was technically AWOL from the army, so maybe a bit of cover.

  • rest in peace comrade

  • Brave hero RIP James Connolly

  • The greatest Mistake the British Army ever made by murdering the Volunteers.

Did they really think the could subdue Ireland by terror.

  • Is é mo Ainm James Connolly nach bhfaca mé Tar anseo chun Die my grate grate grandpar was exacuted with james connolly well not with him but he was one of the guys that was exacuted his name was john O'kitchen and my name is andrew O'kitchen

  • @carluketim

The Irish Volunteers have ALWAYS been called 'Volunteers' and never soldiers! Although the general scheme and organization of the

Irish Volunteers shows them to be a purely

military force, modelled upon accepted military

lines. Their objectives were "to secure and maintain the rights and liberties common to the whole people of Ireland."

Óglaigh na hÉireann (IRA) didn't officially come into existence until January of 1919

  • johnny ruined this song. they were not volunteers, they were soldiers of the proclaimed Irish republic.IRA

  • If you strike at, imprison, or kill us, out of our prisons or graves we will still evoke a spirit that will thwart you, and perhaps, raise a force that will destroy you! We defy you! Do your worst!

    ~ James Connolly

  • Vote no to Lisbon treaty!!.leave the Republic of Ireland in control, leave the Irish poeple in control.leave our sovereignty alone.

  • Good song, I really enjoyed it, greetings from Azerbaijan.

  • great song

  • Lovely ballad & a great song about a great hero & patriot.

  • you definitely know very little about james or anything abut the struggle

  • IDIOT

  • youre ignorance is overwelming

  • James Connolly was a great rebel, this song is great but should have included a socialist verse. James Connolly was fighting for a socialist republic. Unfortunately Fianna Fail is turning this country to a capitalist society and bringing imperialism back this is not what he was fighting for.

  • Mephisto... why don't you make comments about something you know about. Try the Muppets for a start....
