  • that is amazing cocidering how small and young you were since this was 2 years ago your either 12 or 13 now well i can do any pull up activity/muscle ups 50 times and im only 13(; im also a boy 2 but ive been working out for years so ya:p

  • I can do that that's easy and I'm nine

  • That is incredible, well done young lady!

  • To answer your question, yes I am stronger, but I also weigh a "little" more. Happy?

  • wow, this is incredible strong!

  • technique > strength. always.

  • @icedog141 Agreed

  • @icedog141 i would not agree with to you with THis video. a "muscle up" is supposed to not have anything to do with technique, where by just using massive amounts of force to pull yourself up should do the trick.

  • i can do that.

  • WTF !!??

  • wow armwrestle me you wins

  • How many men can do that!!

  • man that girl is strong, I can barely do 5 of those, but I don't train it often >.<

  • i wish my power/ weight ratio was that high

  • Great Job! When she's 12 or 13 and her joints are finished forming, she'll be ready to start training some of those advanced strength moves.

  • she can do five, but I can do about.....2

  • i can't even do one. nice job!

  • I don't know... it seems a bit strange to have a 5 y.o. girl pushing herself PHISICALLY that hard. just doesn't seem right ! Is fine to do sports when you are a kid. Pushing skills limits is one thing Like that Korean Kid that can play drums, or Beethoven for that matter.. I've heard many times that guys that aren't fully developed shouldn't do heavy weights or they could have problems. And we are talking about 16 y.o. guys. She's lifting her own b.w. until she can't do it anymore.

  • @gustavocologni When compared to allowing children to within 20ft of a mcdonalds "restaurant"... Nothing really qualifies as child abuse

  • @Lyddonick I wouldn't go so far. Even though I agree that McDonalds are much much worse.

  • @gustavocologni It is generally considered a bad idea for athletes who are not fully developed to do more advanced straight-arm strength work (such as crosses, malteses, etc), but to the best of my knowledge there does not exist any research suggesting that muscle-ups pose such a risk.

That said, it would probably be a bad idea for her to train these to the point of failure multiple times within a single workout, but doing so once should not pose any health risk.

  • @GeoffTaucer Well said. Not to mention, the poster you were replying to is under the impression she is 5, even the the title clearly says she's 10.

  • @gustavocologni im pretty sure you draw the line at practical, natural exercise... i'd argue this is actually really good for her, so long as she's not being forced to do it and wants to do it

  • very very impressive. Some may say it's easy for her because she is thin and light - but believe me she is probably stroner than most men even though she is 3 times smaller/lighter!

  • @chukaai BS!!!

  • Excellent technique, too!

  • Wow, that's almost unbelievable! She is just 10 but probably already stronger than even some full grown men. Great upper body strength!!

  • this stuff can't be damaging to joints.. whats really damaging is sitting on ur ass in the office. this stuff is only natural to do and any monkey or ape can do this--they're our ancestors.

  • no i believe there is a slightly higher level of difficutly for heavier people. Not too take away anything from anybody i still say no excuses. BUT i will say for heavier people they damage joints and body parts faster doing all this type of stuff. Just my opnion great vid by the way impressive!!. Barstarzz

  • Those look like fun. Yes, gymnasts are very strong! The flips in the background look like fun, too!

  • Comment removed

  • shes only 10...

  • woah 10 yr old wonder woman..

  • she's too young no? that wont do her body any good surely.

  • While advanced strength work (ie crosses, malteses, etc) can cause joint damage to younger athletes, there is not, as far as I'm aware, any reserach suggesting muscle-ups pose any such risk.

  • @GeoffTaucer that's good to hear. Gratz on having a determined daugher (I assume it's your daughter). She sure must have a lot of determination.... but it's all about maintaining (as weight increases over age mainly affect this aspect). How much does she weight now? Sometimes as people get older and gain weight they lose interest in exercise. Regardless, I hope as one active person to (probably) another, keep her active - it's only a good thing for a growing kid.

  • @Galaky Haha, thanks, but this isn't my daughter; it's one of my students. But yes, she's a very talented and hard-working kid.

  • Okay, She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named totally could have gone for 6 if she'd wanted to. I think practice wore her out. We should have her try again earlier in the day, before she does all her events. And I'm in the background doing front layouts....It was a good day I guess, b/c they don't look like crap for once.

  • Agreed -- the rate she's going she'll have me beat before long.

(also sorry I had to delete your earlier comment)

  • Lol, it's okay. I understand why you did it. I didn't even cross my mind about the name thing, mostly b/c it wasn't her full name and so I thought nothing of it. So I decided to leave a new comment. How many muscle ups can you do in a row by now? Have you even counted?

  • I feel so terrible now...

  • I am stronger than a 10 year old girl... but not by much!!! She is awesome!

  • post it on dragon door

  • dragon door?

  • i know people will say well she weighs nothing so its easy for her. I say shut up and try it and then you'll admit how amazing this girl is. WAY TO GO !!!!!!!

  • Yes, I agree! I have people tell me that lifting my body weight is "easier" for me because I weigh less. B.S.!! Your strength should be in proportion to your body weight. No excuses!! A heavy man should be able to lift himself just as well as a light-weight girl. If not, then he should admit to being weaker! :-)

  • It depends upon what type of exercise you're doing. A heavy man may not be able to perform even one of these type of pull-ups that this girl is performing BUT he may be able to bench press and/or military press so much more in proportion to his body weight than this girl can. So just because he cannot perform the number of pull-ups this girl is performing, certainly doesn't mean he's weaker.

  • The two are not independent.

There was a time when I could do sets of these in fives along with a friend of mine, along with sets of 10 dips on rings. (which are a lot harder than doing them on bars)

We were in the weight gym one day and decided to test a freeweight bench, which we never do, and semi-conservatively I threw on 180lbs and lifted it easily. My friend upped it to 200 and lifted that fairly easily, with bar to chest - this is from 2 people who never chestpress.

  • That's what they'd say if it were a BOY doing this. Because he weighs nothing! And I'll bet there are PLENTY of young boy gymnasts who could do this and even more.

  • Oh, man, I wish I could do that :(.

  • WOW!!! This is incredible. Congratulations.

  • love it!!
