  • this videos awesome!

  • you are quite right =) some people are so rude |-) I think you are right in what you did and good for you getting him checked out =) you're a good owner, don't listen to anyones shit =). x

  • Good call on letting him out on the lunge line to burn off some extra energy. Smart call might have been to do that from the beginning though. But if you really were attempting to go out for the olympics and were afraid of a buck or two, well, I have to say I fear for the sake of America's team........ Pretty horse though!

  • @Artgirlz first of all, australia lol, second of all, was a groom not a rider!

  • I love ich will

  • I have found that lunging works better and faster if you make them turn a lot. It is more work for them to turn than to just go around in circles. Plus it uses more muscles and their brain so they don't get bored.

  • Honestly if my horse is fresh we go find a big field somewhere and tear it up! If i don't he either rears and bucks or gallops in a really bad place (like on the road) so i litterally gallop him for the best part of an hour (i work racehorses with a friend sometimes so im used to gallop work) and then he is knackered so he is an angel (almost lazy) the next day!

  • Where did you get this song?!

  • WE'VE GOT YOUR WEEKEND SORTED :D

  • Where did you get the second song?!?!!

  • @thebluebeanie cant remember anymore sorry

  • 3:41 awesome song! :D

  • Your horse is really pretty! your lucky you have a horse though! im sorry for you that you had to leave your horse in the paddock for 2 weeks! must have been exciting where you were and worried about your horse!

  • Whoa, it was only two weeks? Sounds to me like he wasn't broke right...or just respect issues. You shouldn't have that much trouble with him after one two weeks. No, no, I'm not meaning this as rude or snooty; I agree with you. He looks tight. This is, in no way, a reflection on what you're doing. You did the right thing by getting off and lunging him.

  • he is so pretty

  • when i first got my horse belle.. the guy that owned her she had been locked up for 6months and had not been riden once.... i jumped on her a fews days after we gots her.. she is my most quite amazing horse ever.. 6months not being riden she didnt play up once! i was amazed by it.. i have never met a horse like her! :)

  • wow that horse in 'mad'

  • der arme kerl ist stocksteif und du kannst nicht reiten...er tut mir leid ..-.-

  • olympic pre selection??? yeah right!!!!

  • @TheJumperLove as a groom.. like id pretend to be an olympic rider

  • i love the fact you can only sense your horse mood when your on him! my horse goes like that sometimes and its really hard to get the person watching you to understand until they get on and see for themselves!!! u handled tht reali well ! xx

  • Woah! Two weeks, i cant imagine what my horse would do after that. She's crazy just after 3 days!

  • you go girl on the rant of the comments ^^ hehe. . oh and yea :) soo looked way more relaxed after the lunge. must say it was seen lol. oh and you have good position ^^ . (im still workin, only have close to 6 years in, sigh)

  • Your horse looks like a sweetheart! My old boy, I sold him a few years ago but still get to see him and ride him, couldnt be ridden for almost 2 years because of founder, so when i got back on him i thought he was gonna go nuts...he threw maybe a tiny temper tantrum, then went right back to work...

  • Reminds me of a horse my trainer had me ride for a while. It was a 4 year old OTTB she picked up at the American Royal to try out for a while. She said he looked super-quiet like a regular show hunter in the warm-up ring there... but she never rode him! LMAO It must have been the same effect, looking quiet but when you're riding you can feel them go 'omg omg omg omg'...

  • Wow what a gentleman! That much energy and still so calm with you on his back :D Amazing horse, and supercute too ^^

  • I watched about half, but really you think he was being that bad? IGet a grip, ride him forward and keep his brain busy he would have been just fine. I ride horses off the track, I wish they were this quiet!

  • What a good boy for staying calm under the saddle. I ride in a group, and one girl had a pony she'd ride 2 times a week and never turn it out. It was very young (only 4 years old) and really was a time-bomb.

It would bolt every five minutes...

  • fat kids falling off bikes lol where'd you come up with that?!

  • i know its bad behaviour but when you were lunging him it was just cute, you got a cutie on your hands, lol

  • that is what my horse is like - he hasn't been ridden very much for like three or so weeks, and he's just a coil ready to spring - he was bucking and kicking yesterday - llol

I usually ride out the bucks on my pony, but not on my 16.2hh tb!

    :)

    god job!

  • lol he looks like a fun ride when hes hyper. my mare has had the winter off and im going to ride her for the first time in 5 weeks in a couple of days im going to tape it should be fun lol im looking forward to it!

  • its good that your horse didnt go crazy when you and your friend rode him it shows both of you have a very good connection

  • hes such a darling:)

  • Oh, and good choice on the Rammstein!

  • Good on ya for your comment. So many people just love to pick apart other people from what they see (or think they see) on a video. Looks like he just had some piss and vinegar to burn off! Loved watched his antics on the lunge line!

  • collected, you should try some drawing reins on him, that will definatly help

  • lunging whip. my advice to you is to work up a sweat when riding him, and then when lunging start by walkin next to him and then as he walks on, slowly back away, also the lunge rope and whip should be less then 90 degrees apart, kinda like a slice of pizza and you should always be slightly behing your horse with the whip in hand. if you are paralell to him you have alot less control, but behind him you are encouraging him to be forward and

  • im sorry to be rude but your horse isnt naughty. you didnt exersice him properlybefore lunging, you didnt even had a collected trot, or canter. also after not being riden for 2week, your horse isnt going to like being smacked with the

  • What are the names of the songs on the video. I kinda like them

  • how long did you not eercise him for? my parents recentaly got me a horse but he has made me quite nervous because he takes off and bucks. so i hardly want to ride him because im really scared and i havent ridden him in 3 weeks because the last time i was riding him i just got so scared over nothing, its terrible :S:( xx

  • Here's an idea...let him go blow off some steam before getting on. Weird...that's such an ODD idea. Shit.

  • i was away from my pony for ten weeks once i got on her for the first time and she bucked once!! everyone was like OMG betcha shes gonna go crazy about now but she didnt

  • lol ;) If my horse isn't ridden for three days he goes nutters.

3 days is like his limit - it takes three days for him to relax back in saddle and 3 days to get hyper again, haha.

  • If this is your horse wound up, dont come see my horses. lol this is my horse on a good day. But my animals are barrel horses. So maybe thats the difference~ :)

  • i get exactly where ur coming from its funny cause he looks totally calm but i no the feeling like they are just about to explode my horse does it too when he gets time off i just put him on the lunge first and let him get all his sillies out :)

  • ohh well lol ... next time , try and lunge for about 10-20min ... Dw my horses go like that to ..

  • Watching horses like yours, I really know how lucky I am! I didn't ride my mare for two months (forced, not because I didn't want to) and I just pulled her out of the pasture and got on. We had two little half-bucks, and went right to work.

Bravo for knowing your boy needed to blow off some steam and just letting him do it. Too many people don't!

  • wow lol. when i test rode my horse he hadnt been ridden for two years and he was fine, so when i am gone i dont really have to worry

  • lol. i read your description and made me laugh when you said go watch vids of fat kids falling off bike, and i did so funny. LOL!!

  • hey, what´s wrong with fat kids falling off their bikes. your right about the other comments though. they are not that tuned into horses as they think they are. keep going, as you know your your horse.

  • that was only two weeks off?? *isafraid* i havent been home for, going on three weeks now, and my boy is going to kill me... O.o well, not really. He doesnt know how to work on a lunge line very well, he's only 6, and so im happy we have a round pen :) so he can run in circles if he wants to be stupid *chuckles* but I love him :) he seems to have a lot of energy!!!! *continueswatching*

  • He didn't look as hyper as my horse is on a daily basis! But I guess I wasn't there and you know best :-D

  • lol when u put him on the lunge hes like YESSSSS I CAN RELIEVE MYSELF NOW WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY!

great horse you got there, theres not many horses who'll control their emotions to keep you safe

  • Just-wow. TIME BOMB:p

What a good boy for not killing you or your friend. My boys would've bucked me off and then taken themselves on a run...

  • Hey all horses get woohoo mine do too, happens.

  • what's the second song?!!

  • Howdy its called 'Something Wicked' by tecsnik, very obscure and hard to find!

  • i agree wiv jackappleslover couldnt see tension til he lunged proper hyper!

i went on holiday 4 9 days an my friends wanted 2 ride my pony until i got back so i let them BAD idea they couldnt make him move so he got into some right habits it was a challenge 4 me when i got back!

  • This is my stallion every time I ride lol. He's a gentleman under tack (well after the first 5 min which are airs above ground) but on the longe, he's a flippin psycho and it's funny 'cause he knows that's his time to let off steam. Your horse is quite considerate though - what a gentleman to hold in all that energy when you know he felt good !

  • jeez people, the reason he looks so rough in trot, other than being like a coiled spring, is because the video qualities kinda low (no offense, none of my vids are any better, it's plenty good enough for youtube!) but when you have that slightly jerky effect (low number of frames per sec) the trot appears more staccato-ed and makes him look more unconfortable than he actually is. i see this effect all the time when i film my horse... i think he looks great btw :D

  • this was like the pony I leased the other day. She was sooooo freaked out about the line of trees near the outdorr arena, but my instructor told me to canter. BAD idea! We flew at a gallop around the arena about 5 times! She was rearing bucking running and spinning the rest of the lesson! But I stayed on the whole time!! YAY

  • I let my horse go for a run round the field thinking it would let off steam when he was like this ! Guess what ? He bolted and threw me !!! nightmare Hadn't ridden him for 3 weeks cause of snow !! Won't do that again !!

  • my friend had a horse like that but it was at a show the horse was so wound up about being at a show wen she tried trotting him he bucked and tried to run her into a tree xD

  • wow ... thats exatly like my tb but yeah as like Goldfish0xo said ... like that EVERYDAY...

  • I don't think you did a thing wrong. It's good that you know your horse well enough to know he's not his normal self. I've done the same thing, except he lunges out like that, except worse with rears and spaz attacks after two DAYS haha.

  • Agreed. It's really good you can tell when there's something wrong. It pays to really 'know' your horse. You can see he's not so keyed up after he's been lunged, he strides out better and he doesn't look all tense. Every tried riding him after a year with no work? My mare hadn't been ridden in a year before i first started riding her. I just asked my teacher if i could and she said sure, BOYYYYY did she EXPLODE! She was ok at a walk but anythin else... lmao after a couple rides she was great tho

  • this reminds me of my tb.

    he's just like this.

    but every day.

  • I Got a horse like that Yesterday, But he wanted 2 run me in2 a tree though

  • ive had several days like that, 'jogging' instead of walking on nicely :\

Its ok for people to criticise, coz they have nothing better to bloody do, and because they have the time and facilities to ride everyday on their 'perfect' horses!!

I think u did the right thing nd hes a loverly horsey xxx

  • reminds me of my horse, i had to leave town for about a week or 2 for a show and when we got back i hopped on my boy and he was soooooo tense and felt like he was just going to explode and i told my trainer that he felt really uneasy and she said he would be fine and i kept saying that and she kept saying he would be fine, finally my trainer hopped on him saying he was fine and everything and she got him in a trot and he went crazy and she went flying!! Beautiful horse by the way. . .

  • that made me chuckle, looking at him i couldn't see the time bomb at all but you obviously felt it! he was almost waiting for you to put him on the lunge to let off steam, considerate boy!!

  • HAHAHAHAAAA

    i love your subtitles!!!

  • your horse reminds me soo much of mine :P. i hadnt been able to ride her in a while. so i hoppped on n when she was walkin she was really full of herself.. but shes normally a bit feisty anyway. then when i asked her trot she jus exploded n reared then bucked me off. She even lunges like him lol except she has a bit of a rear untill she settles.. it can be quite scaryy when they get wound up and your on them :P cheif is gorgeous. how big is he?

    x

  • oh my gosh! hahah! someone is happy to be out! and the rammstein! this video is brilliant!

  • I lunge every time I ride my mare!! she is 9 this year and she acts like a freakin 2 year old!! Aha!! I am 13 this october and she is hard to handle. She is fine on the lunge but has a skip to her step when im on!! LOL!! She wasn't well trained though and I got her last october. My pony is like that on the lunge.

  • omg that sorta sound like my mare!!!!!! but she is 10yrs old and she gets scared at every little thing...when i ride she always jumps to the side or does something crazy like that......anyways i do westren and she is a paint and her name is oaky.

  • my tb is exactly the same.. shes 7 buh goes go about 3 lol

  • haha my Pamina is 15 years old ,but when i lunge her she´s a freakin` 2 year old =`D And when i sit on her, without lunging her, she´s is like a tiking bomb xD and when i start to trott, it´s like yeehaaww and she´s bucking ...and bucking....and bucking.... :PP

but in the summer she´s fine ;P

  • La première chanson c'est Rammstein non ?

  • that thing about fat kids falling off bikes is sooooooo funny lol!!!

  • what's the second song?! :D

  • It's called Something Wicked by Tecsnik

  • this reminds me of my horse so much!!! especially when you feel like they are going to explode., and then you lunge and itslike let me turn and look at you, okay lets run again, no wait looking at you is better.

    HAHA great video.

  • Omg. I Love it:D

    Your Horse Is Soooo Cute:)

Hehe He Had A Good Time I See :)

My Pony Hadnt Been Ridden In 7Months When I First Got On Her (Before I Had Her On Loan. The Day I Had Her On Loan Was The First Day In 7Months She Had Been Ridden:L) I Took Her On A Hack & She Went Crazy On The Bridle Paths:L

    xx

  • ll 2 weeks try 5 months my friend hopped on her pony after a LONG time and he was CRAZY he was rearing and going sico lol Great rdin hes so cute!^+^

  • Lol, this reminds me of my horse, who will buck and push and play up on the ground, but is very serious and well-behaved under saddle.

  • wow, its like two totally different horses! he's pretty though ^^

  • I have to lunge almost everyday before i ride in the winter caus my horse goes mental, and i cant hack in the winter caus he gets hyper and wound up, all caus he's stabled at night. Your horse is beautifulllllllll!!!!

  • same here it must be the cold or something because i rode m 4 year old all summer and most of with out lunging then suddenly I had to start again because she turned wacko. OOOOHHH Ican't wait till she's five.

  • most of the horses are the same;PP

  • Well he is a Hot-blood ^.^

Looks like he is having a blast on the lunge!

  • my horse does the same thing, even though i ride her like five days of the week, shes a standardbred ex trotter so she gets really full of beans. The best thing to do is just let them run.

  • aww hes such a sweetie for not going off on one with you on his back and waiting till he was on the lunge

  • the rider needs to learn to have some courage.

  • Aye, I had major confidence issues then

  • haha olympic preselections.

    that's hilarious.

don't pretend to be something you're not.

  • LOL. You just watched a video of my riding, and thought I'd try and convince people I RODE at olympic pre selections? LOL. I was there as a groom for Wendy Schaeffer... Give me a break.

  • dont just make assumptions...

  • Coz you make an ass out of you and an ass out of mumptions :)

  • LOL isint it when you assume, you make and ASS out of U and Me? lol I guess that wouldnt work with assumptions. XD

  • It's from the movie the Long Kiss Goodnight hehe.

  • lol he looks like hes having a blast once you got him going. what a pretty horse!

  • Hahaha we has having a ball :) ty!

  • Wow! Thats strange! I never knew that would happen!

  • he didnt look like he was really doing anything...I've had much worse.

  • Woww

My horse is better. The longer without riding the better she is. When I went 3 months with out riding from a broken arm when I came back on her in 3mths she was perfect!!

Your horse is really cute when he bucks xD

  • Hahaha lucky you, Chief's just had 2 months off and is AWFUL haha. Not nasty, just stiff and has no muscles, and pigroots a lot!

  • you have very good instincts about this horse it looks like you know him very well... I just wanted to say that there is no shame in getting off and checking things out (i.e. getting him upto speed on the ground) if you feel like you should get off do.

Looks like you are doing a great job tho! congratulations on a BEAUTIFUL horse:)

  • yeah u can see how tense he is while walking lol my friend fell off in a cross country comp n broke her arm so she couldnt ride for awhile n u should of seen her horse in the stable he looked ready to gallop to germany and back he n wen i she tryed riding him again he kept flybucking her yeah...P.S love ur horse, really beautiful ^^

  • Omg ow I've only sprained things falling off- never broken bones! I hope your friend is okay now

  • an arm is nothing i have nroken two ribs bruised a lung and a kidney in a fall once!

  • jesus look at him go!

  • FYI to all those saying the saddle doesn't fit right. He would not have waited until she was off to show displeasure. If his back was sore from saddle, he would have been WORSE with the rider not BETTER. horses dont think "Oh ill just pretend that im not in pain until shes off me" he would have let you know!

  • don't b so fuckin snide u people make me sick u say u love horses but all u do is bitch an leave snide comments

    a) she knows her horse

    b) its not her fault that chief weren't ridden 4 2 wks at least he were turned out to pasture

c)if he had a problem he would have gone galloping and buckin on the lunge

hun ur doin grand u no wots best dont listen 2 these assholes

  • oh! that sucks!!!!!!!!!

  • Idk what some of these rude people are talking about. For not being worked with for two weeks this horse did REALLY well with you on his back. You know your horse, nobody else, and you know what his behavior means. He was looking tense like he just wanted to go crazy but definitely was aware that he needed to behave while you were on his back, which is pretty rare for some horse. Don't listen to these people on here that think they know everything about horses just because they own one!

  • WTF?

maybe some wankas from a certain horse forum feel like being children, and post vomit to try and upset someone..

keep your nasty opinions to yourselves hey..

remember what your mummies always told you?

if you can't say something nice, don't say fuck all...m,kay?

  • Nah theyre not from that forum. Most are UK/USA members. No idea where they've come from. And sad to say, most don't have their own videos for me to pick on.

  • No of course not, because they speak out of their ass! This girl the other day was commenting on how she raised grand prix Irish sport horses (she was trying to "teach" a girl in the video how to ride and train her horse)....when you looked at her page, she had 2 videos of herself riding..first off: she was like 10 years old, second: Those were NO Irish sport horses....she/he was a QH. And the facilities......not for olympic level horses. Why people have to be "know-it-alls" is beyond me. *sigh*

  • Ahahah!

  • is killer m from the US and I think your video was nice and your horse is beautiful

  • being a horse owner for the past 6 years i must strongly reccomend you ggetting him checked. he looks to be in total discomfort. you should alway start with a basic warm up of walking 3 to 4 times around the full paddock or arena in each direction. yuo should be completly ashamed of you're self that you dont ride him more often. ride him 3 or so times or if you dont have the heart sell him to someone who will care for him and love him.

  • He really does look sore in the hips. He keeps breaking gait also. I would suggest getting him checked out.

  • Hun, it's called tenseness. Check out my more recent videos if you want to make judgements.

  • chill lady. Its just a suggestion.

  • I like his tail a lot! It isnt tht thick but it isnt too thin lol

  • I really feel bad for the horse now!!

  • Why exactly? And where are all you retards coming from anyway?

  • he doesnt look comfortable at all I hope that you get him looked at or change something about your saddle. I feel bad for him!

  • He made himself uncomfortable, douchebag.

  • im not criticizing or anything bt he looks a bit sore on his back legs wen ur riding him, especially in trot.

  • We all have an opinion, here's mine. He looks sore/out in the hips. Perhaps a visit by the friendly equine chiropractor would help. Also, you might want to try side reins on the lunge to help balance him. Good luck!

  • Random, you make us all laugh! that horsey is like a coiled spring! ROFL! hes got a little bounce, soooo funny yup I'm sure lots of us would love to come and have a ride, make a nice change from breaking 3 year olds!!!

  • Well as long as I made you smile :P :P

  • lol you guys are still making me laugh. I know my horse, you don't. Feel free to come ride him in one of those moods! :)

  • WOW...obviously you havent dealt with alot of off the track TB's,thats as quite and as well beahved as they came!..that is NOT a ticking time bomb!..trust me!

  • i think that horse had a lot of energy on the lunge, god, you must all have mental horses, dont listen to them Random181 they dont know your horse like you do :D you did the right thing :D

  • ha ha! its all rider error! I'd be a pissed off horse too!!

  • poor horse looks scared! D: when ur trying to lung him!

  • lol you guys all make me laugh...

  • i think you need to learn how to start the horse off in a lunge rather then swinging a whip at him and hoping for him to know whatto do, he looks like he's trying to escape from you, amazing horse, and nice seat though

  • are you people fucking crazy? i can always tell when a silly kid posts a vid....how? listen to the fucking so called music. it's ALWAYS crap and means fuck all to anyone but your stupid selves. so many postings are spoiled by sheer shite 'music'.

  • I must disagree. Rammstein is a band from germany. They have a different kind of industrial than we do. You do not have to like it, just be a little more respectful of other peoples tastes. We can't all like the same thing. This girl is an excellent rider who obviously knows her horse well.

  • wow. i leave my horse in his stall for more than 2 days and he goes mental.

  • thaTS STUPID

  • He doesnt have that much energy, My friend didnt ride her horse for two weeks took her into the arena and the horse took off at a gallop! Bucking and rearing, that was a hypper horse.

  • wow tht horse looked so scary to ride i mean just bursting with energy...............NOT! really wen a horse is goin to buck they put their head down i saw no warning signs wut so ever.

  • Well you obviously dont know my horse... Could you not see towards the end he was getting jacked up?

  • She can't see it because she doesn't know horses. Its ok, you did the right thing.

  • Well it sounds to me like you need to look closer. Random's horse was tight all over, thats why he looked sore in his trot. The horse simply knew better than to act like an idiot while he had someone in the saddle, so he waited until he got on the line. Give her a break...you don't have to be rude and sarcastic when you know nothing on the subject being discussed.

  • Yeah he was as tense as all crap, despite being turned out for the 2 weeks. And yes, he knew better than to get shitty with a rider, so I was actually quite happy with him.

  • ur very lucky tht ur horse was gd with u cuz if it was my horse , blimey id be on the ground before i could click my fingers lol :D

when u were lunging him the reason why he was going fast is probably cuz he was letting out some energy as he has stored it up in the paddock :D

he looks like a nice horse :D

  • my horse doesnt do anything different with his head when he is about to buck.

  • maybe it would have been better to turn him loose, lunge him, THEN ride him...

  • OMG I know the feeling. Their muscles tense up, they're irratble and you don't want to kick them or shift your weight just incase they SNAP. lol My horse was like that, he threw my many a time. I still love him.

  • he look fine to me? why was she lucky not be thrown????

  • Good thing you didn't get thrown, and he didn't even show out! That's a well mannered horse under saddle.

  • great job ,sounds like you got the feel, and you did all the right things. his tail and ears were telling the tale. more people should listen to their horses and their gut feel, like you did. Great VIDEO
