Like Ginger Taylor.... Jackie is my favourite Soul artist.....and i was one of the few who was priveliged to see him at Wigan Casino in a skin tight leather suit..... a unique superlative voice...and tragically died young like so many friends of mine these days....thanks for your post...Dave from York formerly Burnley
@willieraye Yes, Elvis told Jackie in 1966 that he should be the greatest entertainer in show biz. But he also told an interviewer earlier that the singer who taught him the most was Mario Lanza. All of them had big hair!
Thanks mates! I am a bit shy about touting my vids, usually just post them. Might do Jackies version of "open the door to your heart", one of my fave tunes.
Ace sound ...Alan .. just another brill track from the talented Mr Wilson..... used have this on vinyl with The Who Who Song on the other side another top track ... thanks for posting Alan .... KTF....

The sequel (both lyrically and musically) to "Higher and Higher". Mr. Excitement does it again.
Also, James Jamerson turns in another fantastic bass performance.

Let us also not forget Pistol Allen (drums), Johnny Griffiths (piano) and the Andantes - all from the Motown studios on this record!

And the background vocals by The Andantes (Motown's in-house session singers)!
