  • is that a girl?

  • why do they make Fozzy so brainless in this movie????

  • Why are the cabin boys attending an officer's meeting? I could see Jim being there - maybe - since his map's potential value is basically financing the voyage.

  • da big blu wet thing

  • Fozzie may talk to his finger but Kermit's decision to ban alcohol on the open sea where there is no fresh water and danger of scurvy and he is surrounded by blood thirsty pirates makes him the stupidest person on the ship.

    -everyone points at Fozzy.-

    -Fozzy points at his finger.-

".... your finger hired the crew?"

  • Tim Curry's voice could cure cancer!

  • Imagine being Kevin Bishop and Tim Curry during the take at 5:25. From listening to the the muzak and the rats making out to starting a serious heart-to-heart.

  • AND MARGHERITAS AT THE MIDNIGHT BUFFET!

  • @chrismax18 Everyone: MARGHERITAS AT THE MIDNIGHT BUFFET! :D

  • The roll call is HILARIOUS, especially O'Brian and Angel Marie. Pity we never see O'Brian again, she'd have been a great character.

  • Hawkins sings so high at around 0;58!

  • Tim Curry is so good at being an evil double-crossing villan and i luv his singing!

  • Silly Captain Smollet; if the crew didn't plan on mutiny before this point, they DEFINITELY will now! Out on the open sea, there's nothing to drink but the precious supply of water and alcohol!

  • Big Fat Ugly Bug Faced Baby Eating O'brien?

    Woman: Aye ^_~

ROFL!! Best part of the movie by far!!!

  • Big Fat Ugly Bug-Faced Baby-Eating O'Brien might just be the funniest joke I've heard.

  • Margaritias at the midnight buffet!

  • Margaritas at the midnight buffet!

  • What exactly is the timeline which this was set during?

  • @KBAFourthtime do you mean when it was filmed

  • @michaelisbell46 No. I mean, like, for instance, Disney's "Tarzan" was released in 1999, but the timeline, during which it takes place, is, well, sometime in the Victorian period. Some films take place in its release year or decade, others take place in the past, and others take place in the possible future.

  • @KBAFourthtime well the book was written by Robert Louis Stevenson and it was first published in 1883 so it would seem like it was set somewhere in that time frame

  • @michaelisbell46 It's possible. I know differences between the original novel and this.

  • @KBAFourthtime I was just guessing

  • @michaelisbell46 And that's a pretty good guess.

  • @KBAFourthtime The book begins with Jim saying "I take up my pen in the year of grace 17-" So it's set some time between 1700 and 1799. I'm fairly sure it talks about the service of the King as well so its some point after the death of Queen Anne in 1714 (or it's 1700-1702 before she was crowned but that seems unlikely)

  • @Juli1kenobi I began this conversation in the first place because I'm not sure if they even had trains back in that timeline.

  • @KBAFourthtime Well Stephenson's Rocket was invented in 1823 so, unless someone had far too much time travel on thier hands, the brief answer is no

But who cares about anachronisms; it's still the best adaptation ever

  • @Juli1kenobi It sure is the best one.

  • 2:40 (and little later) couldn't stop laughing for six minutes

  • And maaargueritas at the midnight buffet!

  • If this was a musical, I'd audition for Clueless Morgan lol

  • @CHAWCLATE and I'd audition for Angel Marie or Long John Silver

  • @michaelisbell46 Kewl! i might audition for Big Fat Ugly Bug-Faced Baby-Eating O'Brien

  • @CHAWCLATE I always liked Long John Silver since he had one leg just like my maternal grandmother who had diabetes and had to have it amputated

  • @michaelisbell46 oh dude, that's rough. I can see why you relate to him then. =/

  • @CHAWCLATE well she died when I was 6 years and 10 months old from the complications that followed

  • BEWARE!!!! BEWARE OF THE LAUGH OF CURRY/ HEXXUS / LONG JOHN!

  • 2:40-2:50 That is my most favorite part in the WHOLE movie! My mouth would drop too. I crack up no matter how many times I watch it. XDDD

  • Sailing for adventure on the big blue wet thing! X3

  • 4:40 STOP WASTING THE BRANDY!!!!! wait brandy? i thoght they drank rum? i didnt know they were from Wisconsin.

  • black eyed pea ;) XD

  • I have never heard Kermit ever speak with such authority 0_0

  • I cannot freakin wait for the new muppet film

  • i bet it was amazing to be an actor in any muppet film

  • i think long john is genuine wen he says he likes jim. the scene with the compass proves this

  • lol i remembr laughing about the dead tom line so hard

  • only nine likes?

  • Tim Curry makes the best villan EVER! His laugh is perfect for an evil master mind!!!

  • @wowlord625 Whenever you hear Tim's signature laugh you KNOW he's up to something! ^^

  • About Silver being eight when his first-mate father died, and Jim being seven when his first-mate father died, I guess they're both in the same boat.

  • @KBAFourthtime ... Silver was lying. He was just trying to get closer to jimmy-jim-jimmy-jim jim jim... :)

  • @KBAFourthtime probably

  • @KBAFourthtime IIIIIII SEE WHAT YOU DID THAR!

  • @KBAFourthtime Pun intended?

  • @ztslovebird The pun. Right. I get that.

  • NOW I remember where I saw that evil (at least i THINK he's evil) cook! Home Alone II! He was the hotel person thingy! LOLROFL! Is he ALWAYS the good guy whos actually the BAD one?! roflmao!!!! :DDD

  • @pianoluvr100 Nah, Tim Curry's role generally are of the "bad guy all the way"! XD

It is said one of his most remarkable roles was Pennywise The Clown from the movie "IT" based on one of Stephen King's books, he also gave his voice to the villain Hexxus from the animation "Ferngully" and Doviculus from PS3 game "Brutal Legend". ^^

  • @reikayakishiro hahahah coool!!
