Creative Zens have great sound quality compared to iPods. i have an iPod touch now since my Creative Zen Vision M got stolen, i thought iPod was better than my Zen but some of the detail of a song is missing in iPod which is present in Zen. I recommend Creative Zen over iPod based on sound quality and player's life.

i first had one of the small mp3 players from creative and i like it alot but it froze a lot and i had to take out the battery to reset it then it stopped working all together. i still liked it though and so i purchased the zen vision m and i realy liked it but it froze and said something about firmare. when it did that it got very very hot my second zen worked fine but then one day it just didnt turn on. i bought an ipod and it never broke

Are you using it in MTP or MSC Mode? Try switching it to each one and trying again.

MTP = Music Transfer Protocol (Recognises as music player)

MSC = Mass Storage Class (Recognises as storage device, IE. Memory Stick)

I had one of these back when it was new, very solid player, native divx was great and the screen was WAY better than the screen on the 5g ipod everyone else had. I've went to having a Cowon D2 since though.

Mine broke :[ hardrive inside broke and when i plug into my machine all i get is the 50mb flash mem. the hardrive is the same as ipods one, so i don't blame creative but instead ill get creative zen instead and i dont think hardrives should be made portable anyway.

THIS MP3 OFFICIALLY SUCKS!!! I had it for about a year, then I listen to one song, and it restarts about 10 times. I only had about 400 songs, and 1 hour of video. and For the next 5 months, it restarts itself about 20 times, when i turn the thing on, so I can listen to about 10 songs, before it restarts. Then I was like whatever, then this continued, and within a few months, it deletes over 300 songs, and all my videos. This mp3 sucks, NEVER BUY IT

I've had this this player since 2006 and its pretty awesome. The only issue Ive had with it it that everything cool is designed for the ipod. Also they have discontinued this player, so in the future I am switch to apple.

well, sortta. Since it uses hard disk, which has a movable part. It makes the player very fragile. But this problem occurs in many mp3 player with hard disk type memory. flash memory, though the capacity is much smaller, is definitely more durable. Just wait for a while, and i thinkmany mp3 player company would offer the 32gb flash mp3 player

That's true. But before i had a Toshiba Gigabeat 20gb it broke in one year but now i have a creative zen vision m and I have it for more than two year and a half. It's a great mp3 player the song is great and it never lags. I think its the best mp3 with a hard disk. Note that if you want you can split your harddisk in two one for externalstorage and the other for music and video its pretty nice.

I have the same model and color...the audio is amazing and the video is good...but mine backs up all the time...and the white casing on the back chipped from a small drom(and the freezing or backing up is not caused by the drop...it happens to a lot of people and occured before I dropped it) kinda big too but all in all is good so yeah i agree with this mostly

i mean the ipod touch is only 8 gigs and its a rip, your screen will get all scratched and if it drops its bye bye! and with the new small ipods u have 2 be twice as careful as u had 2 b with the other ones. and besides u can sorta get free songs because of the radio and u can record them. Creative doesn't sell the cable at its online store so I'm guessing that you can only transfer with the 60GB. But that's just my hunch.
