What Mr Osbourne says is correct, he will never be a hero as he is working off the back end of a financialy irresponsible Labour goverment. I'm getting really pissed off with this arsehole. I've never taken out a loan ever, had an outstanding credit card debt or done anything to contribute to the so called 'debt crisis', but yet I (along with everybody else) am being asked to take a hit in my money to pay for the government's mistakes. Osbourne's also made it clear that he's got a real personal vendetta against people he thinks 'enjoy' being out of work, he's been watching Jeremy Kyle too much I think. Tories need voting out ASAP.

I am unemployed and I too am enraged at the current campaign of vilification and collective punishment but I have no problem with money going to people who need it in disaster zones or developing countries. I love this government. Lets get the country out of debt! THIS government, hung or not, are working to get this country out of debt. Im not too botherd about a few extra pennys. Yes they all add up, but who actually got us into this mess? Yes you can blame labour and the banks, but who started the credit crunch? The general public. People taking out loans knowing they cant pay them back when they need to.
Its time we face facts that were neck deep in debt and do something to get out of debt.

If we don't, our interest payments on public debt will skyrocket, and there won't be any money left to provide the basics, resulting in even worse cuts and rises in the future. We need to stop putting things off and get to it. People also forget that VAT does not apply to things such as baby clothes etc, a large cost for the poor.
