    As for those of you who .rar things: Seriously folks! Every modern O/S has a built-in Zip/Unzip function. Stop using .rar and start zipping.

  • i think the only reason people use it is because so many things are already rar'd, and people just go with the 'standard'. zip is just as common it seems, but as far as which is a better compressor i have no idea
