@theShadow117 343 is a splinter company of Bungie. Bungie allowed 343 to have the rights to Halo because Bungie were moving on from making games. In a sense, 343 is the gaming department of Bungie but they have their own name and their own budget and their own wages. The story will continue on from Halo 3, the voices will be the same, the characters will be the same and the game will be Halo. If you can't see this then you truly don't know a thing about Halo, Bungie, 343 or the gaming world.

They have been working for the past 4-5 years on a new game that will be announced in the coming year. 343 is the group *within* Microsoft that is now in charge of the Halo IP. BA is something else that Bungie is doing on the side - as you said, it's helping the smaller developer get good games out to market. Crimson Steam Pirates is a lot of fun.

Before Halo came out Microsoft was worried about halo being a FPS because they didn't know how the controls would work. But Bungie change that doubt into a controller setup that would change FPS from then on (A wasn't always jump you know...).
