The "error" here was not only about fact checking. The error totally disproved their entire theory. To leave the story up after the discovery of their error shows that they disregard the truth about what they allege, merely to make a point that is unsupported by the facts.
Investors Business Daily got totally destroyed by this. I don't know how they will get out of this. Perhaps now they will consider background checking before printing.
