  • @littlechefxxx its an Andrew james VS517 - yes it seems pretty good for the money.

  • thanks for the video--ive been thinking about buying one and this made up my mind

  • @rextex2009 They're really handy if you have a use for them :o)

  • Whey protein is so bad for you!

  • In what way?

  • you should have a little buisness going!! Ricks Vaccumed Sealed Fruits! =P

  • Excellent video!!

    Great machine

This is an andrew james vaccum sealer

  • wow ive never seen one of those in action! Cool! lol

  • What was the reason for purchasing this? lol

  • food staorage mainly, but it's good for storing important documents too. also good for making clothes small when packing them!

  • tee hee...i know where that background music came from! tee hee. and omg now you are one of us..you may be in the UK but that is such an American thing to do! oh...and when you opened that...was it grape jam?

  • LOL - you Americans influence everything over here eventually!

Yes it was rather mushy on opening - although they had been frozen prior to opening. Made good fruit leather though :o)

  • i hope we don't influence too much. considering our history is much shorter than yours!

now those things are great for cheese though. it goes bad so fast and if you want a great deal buying a block is better. so cut it in to sections and it lasts a long time. plus...great for marinading. the pressure forces the marinade in the meat fast!

  • it is awesome!!!

    I love your british accent!!!

It could be fun to seal your hand!!!

    haha

  • sweet i would be vacuum sealing everything what would happen if you vacuum sealed a balloon?

  • hmmm - will have to try that one!

  • ahhahahah bought a new toy rick?!

hahahhaha very funny and cool !!!!

  • amazon - about £40 - 50GBP

  • New toys are cool!

  • indeed!

  • I think I will buy one of these. I believe there will be severe food shortage all over the world in the next 2 to 3 years. Millions of people starved to death in Russia and Europe during world war 2 and after world war 2.

  • lets just hope the bees recover - or it could get serious.

  • I love it: 'New toy! New toy!" rofl!

(I do the same thing with new gadgets, lol!)

Seriously, tho, I can see that coming in very handy in the future...I might convince my family to get one...:)

  • you make me laugh :L

  • Nothing to get excited about??!? Are you insane?? That means you can sctually ship some plums to me in the USA!!! Scha-weeeeeet!!

    Take care,

    Patrick

  • LOL - with the volumetric weight system the courriers use, it would be cheaper to ship caviar!

  • Ok, then... caviar it is!! ;-)

  • that was pretty cool..i have one but i never saw my mom using it :P

i see you use creatine..how does it work for you?? my friend mentioned that it has great results..would like another's opinion :P

  • creatinre is great if you are looking to bulk and build muscle fast - otherwise I cant see the point of it.

  • Coooooooooool.

    Loved the soundtrack, too.

  • fresh from jml!

  • rick ur gettin obseesed with ur little supply lol

  • make hay while the sun shines :o)

  • my vacuum sealer looks very similar to that.

    They rock

  • I noticed your whey powder, I've been looking for an organic or healthier version of whey protein ... can you comment on this one? TIA

  • hi - not sure about organic or healthier - I just go for the cheapest i can find with a good protien content.

  • Wow that's cool!

  • That really is cool!! We will all haft to come over and have a bite!! LoL *****Duke

  • MARK, DATE AN ROTATE

  • good advice!

  • Great Rick, so does that preserve the food? Looks a good idea

  • Hi Mark - yes, it's good at extending the life of foods if stored in the right conditions - i.e. no light/heat etc.

  • can u use any plastic bag or only bags made specifically for the vacuum sealer.

  • I have some vacuum bags, but they're so useless I ended up using them for clothes :-)

I'd love a vacuum machine though.

  • Very good Rick, looks like a fun endeavor you have going.

  • I want to get one of them for the motorhome but they are several hundred Australian dollars and the replacement bags are very expensive.

May be I should have a look on ebay for the bag price.

How long will the food last once sealed?

  • Hi Glen

Depends on the food you seal, but keep it out of the light and heat and it should last quite a while. It's also brilliant for packing clothes, documents - and frankly anything else that you want to package small.

I put pot noodles & dried food in the bags for the camper van - saves loads of room and you can also pour the boiling water into the bag and eat from it (provided you get the right bags)

The sealers cost about £50 in the UK.

  • lol...now if i cud only fit my ex gf in one of those bags.... :P

  • :o)

  • loool

  • In vacuum bags, no one can hear you scream !

  • LOL!

  • haha , very cool

  • glad u like Toby d:o)

  • Woot, I could play with that all day! I bet it's expensive :o

    Loved the music btw.

  • I know what you mean. they cost about £50 in the UK - I've already gone through one set of 50 bags!

  • Wow, that's hardcore. :D

  • LOL - Go wild man!
