I am so glad it's a completely different game instead of a remake. Good news too is that the Koopa Kids are back as well. I wonder if there will be other characters besides Mario, Luigi, and the two Toads.

I hope so. These days, they don't make a pallet swap of one character and say it's a new character. It was alright when there were hardware limitations, like on the NES and SNES, but even the old pallet swap characters have been changed so that they don't look like clones anymore: Luigi and the MK ninjas come to mind.
