Why would a book written by god need a translator, if it's written by god it has to be understable at first read, if not, it's bull shit...

@Acrimonator The reason why the book of God needs a translator is because not all people would be able to understand it. People would always depend on their on intellect, abilities, know-how, etc. The Bible would only be understood through faith. It's not a seeing is believing truth. It's a believing before seeing truth. As the bible verse tells it, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added thee. Mt 6:33. This also includes knowledge.

@Acrimonator I think you missed the whole point I am making. How in the world could I understand anything to do with God if I did not know Him? It's the same application as if you were to hand your child, your own auto-biography to read at the age of 3. The child wouldn't have a clue, what it even was! But as time grows, the both of you grow together. And the more you teach your child (morals, how to read, write) the more they understand and know you. By adulthood they could even vouch for you!

@leon823 leon, Bible without the revelation is just a theology for knowledge sake which puffs us up, with revelation it is a testimony of the finished work of the Son of God. we should never depend on our own ability to understand but by faith in Him who supplies understanding, faith love and all things. As you received Christ so walk in Him, by faith. love u.

@Choice4Christ Jesus; You did not choose me, i chose you. and from Romans 9 :18 Therefore has he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardens. its not about choices its about faith in the finished work of Jesus. Abide in Him by faith and you will bare fruit , he will effectively work in you to will and to do :) love.
