can somebody here help me. i downloaded and installed the game today but i can't play it because there is this spinning disc at the main menu and it won't let me select the new game option. anybody no how to help me with this?

it's very, very similar to yngwie's song "cry no more", i woud say it's a pure rip off(check it out). ys is the best.

Am I seeing this right? A chick is not only a playable character, but a weapons user as well? Most Ys chicks are the ones that need to be saved, not the ones to do the saving! ^_^
All kidding aside, this looks awesome. Definitely worth checking out.

Im willing to take a breather from Adol. I just hope they get back on track with him for the next game. Im thinking Ys Origin is a Darm Tower Dungeon crawl type game.

It's a prequel. Takes place 700 years before Ys I. you can play as two characters: Yunika Toba and Hugo Fact. Since it looks to be the same engine as Ys VI and Oath, it should prove no sweat to translate.

Not so much. If it's coded in the same fashion as Ys VI and Oath, then the hack work is basically done. Just needs a script extraction and bitmap editing for the associated text.
