Why change something that isn't broken? The original QB rating was just fine. I am not completely against this new system but I feel like it just should not have been changed.

@PatsRDaBest1283 There is no original QB rating. That's a Passer rating which is very flawed. This new system brings in so much more. The new Quarter Back Rating, which is the first official QB Rating. It judges both running and passing and how they affect a game. Not just their passing rating. Before if a Qb threw a pick and it wasn't his fault, but the WR's. He got hurt by it. Not he won't.

Of Course it is! But football is still the ULTIMATE TEAM GAME, your QB is only as good as the team around him

I don't care how good your QB is, if he don't have a line to give him time to throw the ball or if he doesn't have WR's that can get up quickly and catch the ball...HE IS NOTHING!

I am a hardcore Giants fan so I grew up LOVING DEFENSE, I grew up watching guys like Lawrence Taylor DESTROY QB's so maybe that is why I am not really all into the entire "QB Infatuation"

@OTKP I agree. the nfl as a whole is obsessed with the qb though, not just ESPN. Look at recent 1st and 2nd round draft history. there are a select few qb's that are game-changing franchise qb's (brady, peyton, brees, rodgers, rivers, maybe romo or maybe vick) in the entire league, yet just about every team reaches and overpays for qb's that don't pan out. I would argue that MLB is just as important as the QB - MLB is the QB of the defense, but no one reaches for MLB's as often as QB's.
