  • Hey Veggie, can you tell us where you bought those particular tools you use? Like the drill bit and hobby knife and such

  • hey i remember seeing this in ur i got pakage #1... U were unboxing and showing the resin pieces... that kind of explains the reason u lost the pieces

  • @ABCba5tard That was a different resin kit

  • you should buy the 1/35 scale Ex-s gundam lol

  • @wowrulz12 Do you know how expensive that is?Or huge?Compared to a guy about 6"2,its like over half his height!

  • @jayko657 I was joking lol

  • 4:24 Epic transition.

  • why not try to cast that missing resin part yourself??

you do have the mirror parts..

  • To be perfectly honest, I don't pay too much attention to grit numbers when using sandpaper. I just pick out sandpapers that feel either coarse or fine enough for the job I need them to do. This "ballpark" method has always worked fine for me and I'll continue to do it that way.

  • What grit sandpaper do you use to sand the surface for painting? I found that other than sanding away panel lines, a less than 1000 grit sandpaper makes the surfaces uneven if you aren't careful while sanding :(

  • How's the progress so far good I hope? Weather isn't to fair this week nothing but rain!

  • wow its an oversized ex-s

  • Great looking Model!!

  • Can you cast it by yourself with some kind of putty or resin? I think I saw in one of your videos that you bought casting kit, or something like that...

  • what sandpaper grit is suitable for sanding gunplas ?

  • hey vegeta have you ever thought about buying the model comprehend hi nu gundoom

  • @xtiandale I don't buy knock offs (knowingly)

  • @vegeta8259

its a pretty good model and the only mold problem is hard to see

  • @vegeta8259 its a pretty good kit

  • Hows the fit?

  • @mvm3897 The resin parts fit onto the MG frame quite nicely. The only problem is that there was a part that was made of something other than resin. G-System had it labeled as "PX". It was BADLY warped and snapped in half...

  • For the missing piece simply contact G-System and provide them with your serial number and they will get a free replacement. It's happened to me a few times and they are very good about replacing missing parts.

  • Looking great so far V. This is a massive kit. I think I have like 2% of mine fitted. And yes G-System Shop kits are not perfect. The newer kits are way much better then the older ones. I do find that they have much more flash then say and original Neograde, AKO, or Coreworks. I do find that there details are very nice but over all they are an awesome kit manufacturer.

  • what grit of sandpaper do you use to sand the surface of the parts?

  • Lack of motivation transfers over to your work. Well thats how I see it anyways. I'd take a break if I were you. Too much of something is bad.... Just finish this conversion kit first! aha

  • I really doubt that you would have lost that part. I'm sure they just didn't send it.

    And that sucks.

  • share the back log with your fans :D

  • Sucks about the side skirts, but can't wait to see it finished!!

  • if anything i could help you! is g-system from hong kong because i am currently there haha

  • vegeta...what grain of sand paper do you use?

  • Don't worry i get burned out on Building models sometime and go a few month with out building one.

  • I can help paint your backlog of Gundams!

  • Love how you started the video by saying, "All right, kids..." :D

  • dude, your skill has gone up to a very high level. bet u can handle more complicated kit now

  • @maxtergundam OVER 9000!!!

  • Holy cow that thing is huuuuuge.

  • Hey Vegeta if you check your own unboxing (silent ver.) video of ex-s at 7:44 you can see that the resin side skirts are 3 :(

  • that things massive

  • the resin certainly buff-ed up your ex-s :D

  • I hate to tell u but g- system likes to leave out some parts when they ship out ur order... I got 3 missing part for my hi-nu so have to contact them to send those parts to me. U should contact them and best have somebody that speaks Chinese to help u out.

  • Why don't u have an un boxing vid with soud for this guy?

  • @17107443 I do... Search for it.

  • is it me?or did he just called us KIDS?!

  • bad casted resin in super expensive psice!!!!thats bad bro..at least in e2046 you take what you pay!!!!resin cast+price=ok....but ithink with your expirience that the best resin until now came from super g..what do you think vegeta?

  • and what have you been playing?? :D

  • lols.. 'Alright kids'? ==!! stfu

  • HE CALL US KIDS O.o !!!! WHAT ABOUT BOYS OR GENTS OR DUDES ?? BUT NO KIDS, I HAVE KIDS LOL

  • OH MY GOSH. u shud email/call g-systems and complain. missing a part will destroy any motivation for me to continue. but thumbs up for going forward with the original sideskirt. its looks awesome. cant wait for next wip

  • If the material is really all used up you could just try to make the pastic side skirt look like the resin one.

  • Isn't recasting the other half of the side-skirt in resin also an option? I mean, if memory serves me correct, you have a resin casting set, no?

  • the casting quality on ur ex-s looks like its 200 times better than that of the lohengrin launcher i got xD

  • Hey Vegeta, could you do a size comparison of the Ex-S gundam and The O? Apparently (according to the Gundam Wiki) The O should be a good three meters taller than the ex-s (The O stands at 28.4 meters, while the Ex-s stands at 25.18). Somehow, I feel that the MG Ex-S was made a little too tall...

  • So what was the point of taking apart the original kit to put on the resin parts?

  • why are we kids 0:00

  • Just a question about the missing side skirt: Can you not contact G-System about getting a replacement for it?

  • It's about time!

  • i sanded my last kit but i really dont seem the need for it when painting. am i overlooking something? sanding makes it appear to have a matte finish as apposed to shiny..but it is supposed to represent metal

  • Awesome conversion kit.. Can't wait to see what your paint job will add to it! It's a shame about the missing side skirt piece, but it's good you weren't too discouraged by it.

  • always wanted the 1/144 version

  • i wonder whats the different between this and the MG

  • Should be an awsome result despite the missing part. I'm kind of getting an itch for trying resin kits.

  • Wasn't there a parts replacement warranty?

  • @WenHan819 For regular Gunpla kits, not resin. And it's for residents of Japan only.

  • @MSGSlayer1 If you saw the unboxing, you would know the parts replacement warranty came with the resin kit

  • Ouch. A missing part. Hope to see this done. Nice WIP as always.

  • Can you recast the one part to form a new pair???

  • What grit do you use for the resin part?

  • what grade of sand paper u use ? =D

  • cant you recast it ????

  • I hear you about not wanting to build stuff. I once built 20+ kits non stop for over a year then became so burned out and complacent that I went two months without completing a model. I ordered then and started some, but during that time never completed any. I think that everyone gets those times where they don't enjoy doing what interests them and just need to chill out and rechrge their batteries.

  • alight kids ????? thats new and a bit wierd

  • Im so excited about it I said this month lol

  • Cant wait to see the finished model!! Hey vegeta what are your thoughts on the mg epyon ew ver that's released in April? Its a must buy for me !!!!!

  • @Pablo944T I got some bad news for you... MG Epyon doesn't come out til June.

  • @vegeta8259

imo, the only turn off for the MG Epyon would be the head. the proportions for the head doesnt look as good as the other Wing MG kits. =/

  • The Ex-S is looking good so far, but i'm really curious as to whats your next project....

  • Great WIP Sir, I'm actually working on my first resin kit at the moment (the Five Star Stories Yen Xing) which was manufactures by g-system-best and the quality of that kit pretty good, but there are some flaws. I've actually picked up a few tips from your video which will be of help, I look forward to seeing your ongoing progress.

BTW, have you contacted G-Systems regarding the side skirt? Considering you've a completed QC checksheet, I would imagine they are obliged to provide the part.

  • Please tell me that you have a mask while sanding the resin...

  • @MaikForte Did you even watch the video?

  • @MaikForte Go watch the video.........

  • @MaikForte Lol you got pwned by Vegeta.... No Offense O_o

  • @TheDeathTurtle Lol yeah! He's over 9000... =D

  • Comment removed

  • @MaikForte Watch the video?

  • wow I've heard such good things about G-system I am stunned the quality was this bad, still looking forward to seeing the finished product.

  • I would email them about the side skirts

  • sounds like you may be getting brunt out man , I know it's happened to myself

  • Oral-B...

  • mmm you never made a video to show how to clean up the parts before sanding/priming or after to get ride of the particles

  • I'm still wondering why Bandai has not made a Ex-S Gundam PG!!! I mean what are they waiting for, one of the best mech makers *katoki* should be pushing for this....but then again what do I know!! *P.S* Holy shit Ex-S Gundam MG is HUGE!!! how would you say it is with the conversion kit vs the Normal one in hight? I have it and I have not build it cause its my fav, I want to get good at painting befor I make it!!

  • interesting...for some reason I thought you would go out of your way to find a MG Deep Striker conversion kit...but this works too. I wonder what color scheme you have planned...

  • I find it interesting that you don't like the cast quality. I recently got the GP03 desktop display head, and the flash was pretty bad as well. I've had less cleanup with recasts. Kind of disappointing to see that it wasn't just my kit.

  • @cadderly I kno rite? My Geara Doga from e2046 was casted better than this....

  • @vegeta8259 Those flash and bubble are just minor issues and easy to fix, but the casting in your Geara Doga is warped, it's not as noticeable because the rest of the parts are rounded. but if you are saying that is also the case with the ex-s ....

  • plz, do more. I love your vids!

  • whoa G system? That must of cost a pretty penny.

  • Hey Vegeta, love your videos dude! BTW, what games you playing now? Mortal Kombat right now is eating at my gunpla time :(

  • This kit is newer one already, deepstriker was attempt 4, about 3 years old. and this one is attempt 6. If there is serious issue with the kit, like missing a piece, you can get a replacement. But you should protect your serial number, someone with a cheap recast would steal it off you.

  • Are you thinking of making the MSN-04 Sazabi Evolve Version 2.0 if you do with your talent you could make that thing fly

  • what happened to your neo grade conversion kit?

  • @malvarez1991 Sold it

  • If my memory serves me right... Don't you have a resin casting kit? You could make a mold for the piece right?

  • @Dun599 I would if I still had any silicone left. I used it all making the normal model head for my MG Banshee...

  • do a lets play or somethin

  • :/ Man if I lost a part I'd probably cry, all in all, this is looking pretty great so far :) your modelling skills are some of the best I've seen, honestly.

  • don't burn yourself out, man. take your time.

  • man this resin kit might be a G-system knockoff!

  • @TTTgundams How could it be a G-system knockoff if he ordered it directly from them? Most resin "knockoffs" are called recasts and are usually good enough quality to work with. Resin isn't like a plastic kit, all resin kits will need some work to make them fit properly so a good resin builder can work wonders with a crappy cast.

  • Good vid like always 2 questions what does wip stands for? Is it when you paint the inner frame and paint details on it like the wires and pipes? And question two is there an older vid of you doing it?? Thanx

  • @thalunizz21 I assume WIP stands for "Work in Progress"

  • @Zeryus yes... yes it does..

  • @Zeryus oh ok makes sense i thought it meant what i said it meant cuz every time i see a vid with "wip" in the title it was a vid about painting the inner frame and all that but thanx

  • @thalunizz21 :3 No prob

  • finally!!!!

  • @vegeta8259 hey vegeta, just wondering what grid do u use to sand the plastic and resin kit??

  • @vegeta8259 I was wondering when we'd see the WIP for this. It's good that you're now focusing on finishing up your back log. =D It's always a good idea to do back log stuff first before getting new things. Maybe 1 of your dogs ate that 1 piece? o_O

  • epyon next? :S

  • @TeaBubblez No, Epyon's a full 2 months away. I've got several kits I'm gonna do before Epyon.

  • Yay! The Ex-S finally! My ultimate fave gundam!

  • like the model can't wait for the coloring

  • bravo! :3
