ALPA has NOT provided "job security" or career progression for its members. Every agreement that facilitated the outsourcing of flying from the mainline to the regional carriers was negotiated and ratified by ALPA. Over the last decade mainline domestic flying at DAL has decreased from over 90% of system block hours to around 50%. The pilots union has negotiated away the careers of thousands of pilots.
Glad to see these pilots speak out for professional representation for all Delta employees. Anyone with any self respect, respect for their careers and their profession must have a say in how their job is done and how their profession evolves.
Why do the highest paid employees @ Delta i.e. Richard Anderson & the pilots all have contracts that legally bind & protect them? FA's do not have a voice, legal representation, job protection, & a secure future w/o a union & a CONTRACT whose work rules CAN'T be changed daily on a whim from mgt. for the good of the company. W/O union representation, OUR international positions on our OWN US A/C would have been outsourced to foreign nationals by the very person who is running Delta today.

The majority of employees in the past Pilots, FAs and front line ACS and below wing employees have voted no on the unions. This is nothing but politics, If Unions had our best interests at heart they would vote under the current rules, but they know they'd loose. I grantee even if the rules do change the majority of all who vote will tell the AFA and the IAM to take a hike
The pilots have a union and have consistently voted to have representation. Politics only plays a part when the corporations use the political right to try to gain a competitive advantage. Quite un-American if you ask me.
If we used the current rules for national elections it would be called a crooked Dictatorship. It appears your knowledge of the past actions of employee groups is lacking.
If Unions didn't have your "best interest at heart" you wouldn't have a weekend. You haven't a clue about the past actions of your new NW Masters.
The Pilots, the CEO and executives have contracts and a voice in determining their future. As frontline safety and security professionals Flight Attendants are first responders in a medical emergency, aircraft emergency or terrorist attack, we deserve a voice and a place at the table.
This video misrepresents a lot of facts.

Just for the heck of it, everyone should listen to "Pilot's View". The choice is yours, but expience speaks volumes.

Sorry but being a flight attendant should be a job instead of a career.
I am tired of 45 year olds going through the motions in the cabin. Set age limits like 20-30 like the rest of the worlds airlines do.
