I think they're implying Longest Suspension Bridge span because, the longest bridge in the world is actually The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge has a comparably short suspension span and the rest of the bridge is a Cantilever type.

chesapeake bridge has no suspension . it goes under water twice to allow ship traffic . pretty cool , but no cigar ... verrazano in nyc is the longest suspension bridge in the states at 4260 ft , followed by the golden gate at 4200 . at 6529 the japs are damn good . nr 1 in the world versus 7 and 8 for verr. and golden gate . and why are these morons wearing helmets anyway ???
