@WielderofPOWER Circumstances are how fast you beat the prologue level, and how many hearts you use, if you were to beat it quickly skipping the talk scene you'd get more stuff or better stats, you can start with Lapis Lazuli, Neutron Bombs, Heart refresh, and I think a few of the Gem rings like the Garnet and the Zircon. I think if you do the entire prologue in less than a minute without using Sub Weapons and not getting hit you get the Absolute best stats and Items.

Im kinda glad i have no easy cheat option. I played half way thru on PSN, am about to start over on ps1 on a fresh memory card. I reckon if youve beaten the game once you deserve a head start next time. I bet it feels silly being so ridiculously overpowered from the start. (Well, staying so overpowered). The whole levelling up aspect would be meaningless!

For everyone who doesnt know.

The Item Crash "Hydrostorm" is from the subweapon Holy Water.

It summons a rainstorm of holy water, pretty much.

i do it and i fly into the other room, but whats weird is that the music plays when u face the grim reaper, but it wont let me open up my inv. and if i go up and fall it glitches up and if i go back out death takes my stuff help!

@mortalkombat4life You need to get hit by the 2nd Warg in the room so it launches you the right height to skip the Death Cinematic. When that happens, your game will think you're doing the cinematic and won't let you open your inventory, and play the eerie music. You won't be able to access your inventory screen until you get to a save room or where the music stops.

here's one trouble...after you do this and go save the game...well, I read, after you do that, you can return to the room where death is and then death is replaced with Slogra and Gaibon (the two you have to beat in alchemy lab)... or do you have to return later, for example, once you allready defeated death in the inverted castle?

in the Dracula X chronicles on PSP there is no need for the cheat

all you have to do is enter the room with death and quickly leave

which is cool but for some reason i cannot work the Alucard Sheild/Sheild rod spell and have crissagrim equipped like in the ps1 version

Because it won't work in normal mode. Alucard's luck isn't high enough to trigger him flying all the way across the next screen after the Warg strikes him when you try to use the cheat. If you try it in normal mode, Alucard goes only a certain distance, and usually lands int he middle of the screen where Death is, and tends to take more damage fromt he Warg. :)

it won't work in normal games because alucard's stats would be to high, specifically his constitution, as for you to get flung that far, you need to lose 1/2 or more of your max hp in one hit... necklace of j gives a small def boost in comparison to the shield + armor combo; so in theory, you could keep the equipment that doesn't affect his defense and it will still work; also, the speed and status and the end of the richter prelude battle will affect alucard's initial stats...

I did find another video where this trick was done in the Japanese Saturn version, and it's possible, but the person who posted the trick wasn't kidding when he warns the player that you have to have Alucard in an exact position on the screen when the Warg attacks, down to the last 1/100th of a pixel, or it won't work. I've tried it about 10 different times, and STILL can't get Alucard to make it, even though I've gotten ridiculously close.

Also, I agree with the part of your post referrimg to te equipment not referring to Alucard's defense; that part is true. But as for Richter's prelude, if the Warg doing 1/2 or more damage makes all the difference to Alucard being flung far enough, would you reccomend that I do poorly on the battle with Dracula? Every time I've tried this, I've beaten Dracula with full health. Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong?

best stats is to pass the intro stage with no hearts left, holding the cross as a subweapon, all within a minute from the start of it; and yes, the psx/360 version is way more lenient on the frame where you go flying, almost as if they wanted it to not glich in the saturn version ;D

With the Saturn version, it's almost insanely hard to get it to work. I keep wanting to chalk it up to the mentality that they want to make you work a lot harder for it. I've also noticed most enemies require twice as much damage to kill in that version (or maybe the weapons only work half as well?)

I'm working on trying it in the Saturn Version right now. I think I've pinpointed the problem - when you get the 2nd Warg to lunge at you, it won't move up like it does in the Playstation version. It always resets to its default position, and since you aren't close enough to the right side of the screen to successfully fly across the 'Death' screen when the Warg strikes, that messes up the glitch - Alucard always either hits the wall or gets 'stuck' by Death when he enters the screen.

Yeah,Alucard always hit the roof near the right screen when Death comes,I guess Konami fixed this glitch when Saturn version was under ported progress.(I think they made a "WALL" near the right of Death's room,than stop Alucard's strike.)

You DO NOT need to beat this game to use the cheat. I've used it on the PSP, PSX and Saturn versions without having any previous saves, and in the case of the PSX version, I had no memory card.

I got the glitch to get me past the cutscene, but all my equipment was gone, and I couldn't acces my stats screen. Then I dropped in the hole above death and the game started to wig out. This was on 360 btw.

When you do the glitch on the 360, continue through the castle to the first save point (don't go back to the room with Death!). Once you're saved, use the Arcade menu to exit the game and then reload it. When you reload the game, you will have access to your menus again, and all of Alucard's equipment will be there.

I believe if you go back to that screen without saving first, the game will freeze up and glitch out.

@reeshujiken Even after saving, it can still glitch. You need to progress in the game to the next "story event", then save; only then is it safe to return to the starting rooms.
