Great pictures! I am going there next year. What is the name of the song? Goes nicely with scenery. I am from New Hampshire USA. Gradfather grew up in Tain and house is still there. Visited in 2009. Want to do the Hebrides next. Thank you for putting this up.

Hi. My cycing friend is wanting to do a several week tour of the Hebrides. Not sure whats best facilities up there- camping or B+B.

I'd suggest a combination of B+B and the Gatliff youth hostels, which is what we used. I hope your friend has as wonderful a time as we did!

As perfect a weather you might dream of - in spite all the changes over the past 30 years I could witness the Hebrides make for the best destination at least round Scotland if not the whole of Northern Europe. Thanks for the perfect match of pics, music and then to tune it all...
But to walk it offroad adds dimensions: Try exploring the more remote corners but be well equipped and prepared to plod your way!
