The thing that makes Senegalese music unique is the fact that Senegal has a deep Islamic influence, which although is used in the music, it is added subtly without dominating the vital African rhythm.
Now because this Islamic influence is used, it balances the rhythm, and rather than being exagerately rhythmic or vulgar, it brings a certain refinement to the music.
His Wolof actualy sounds like he's singing in Arabic.
Does anyone know the lyrics of this song?
