How did you get in touch with him? He's near-on impossible to find! I remember meeting him in 2006. He said he was sick of being hounded by students expecting him to do their assignments for them! :-s
There is nothing in the reach of the classicly trained ear more special than a composer who manages to thread ones aboriginality within classical music. This is so special...
I heard this music on the first dawn of the new millennium, live on my TV set from Sydney Harbour straight to London. Since then this music, which for me resumed the inspiration of what laid ahead, has been around my mind. After a long search I have come across it again.
This piece is so beautiful and natural sounding. It so perfectly portrays the atmosphere when you wake up really early in the australian bush. It's so beautiful and calming. It's just amazing.
After hearing this piece played at dawn at the Sydney Opera House for the 2000 Bicentennial I spent 3 years trying to find it. Finally I found Ross Edwards and he sent it to me. It reminds me of why I'm glad to be alive. Praise to Ross Edwards for creating such a glorius sound.
This is a beautiful piece of music by a brilliant composer.

I dislike this intensely. Full of cliches, an attemptred amalgam of different musical styles that simply does not hang together.

This piece has just been performed by the Bendigo Youth Choir at the memorial service for the Victorian Bushfire victims. A wonderful piece of music.
