i think they had carly leave with larry is cause the chemistry she had with Peter/Bo was not the same with the Robert/Bo. It just wasn't the same. I think she left with Larry cause of Nikki and being drugged and such didn't help. Now that Larry is gone and Bo has trouble with Hope, it makes it easier to fall back in love with each other. I just hope the Bo/Carly s/l lasts ALOT LONGER!
Days really needs to give us fans of Carly a scene that explains why Carly really left with Lawrence.
Sorry, but I don't buy that she "fell" in love with him. It would really rekindle Bo and Carly's love more if it were to be found out that she really left to be with Nicki under some threat or duress or herbal funk.
Those of us who saw Bo and Carly's love will never believe that Carly truly left to be with Lawrence. We deserve for this to be explained and brought out in the storyline.
I think to many fans got caught up in Crystal & Michael as a real life couple on the show,& it actually start taken away from the storyline & the writers saw it,and let Michael go because, the lovestory became to personal & not based on fictional charscters.i still say Crystal & Michael should have played opposite roles of each other on Days.You could see in their scenes there chemistry was getting to personal on the set, that's not good on the set for daytime characters...
I always hated how DOOL wrote Carly off back then....it was a huge disservice to Bo&Carly fans and the deep love they shared. IMO, If she was going to go off w/Lawrence it would have been better if she didn't regain her memory before she left.
Apparently they didn't end up having a great life. She ends up Murdering him. Apparently he was beating her for years. That JUST doesn't make any sense. He ADORED her and would never do that.

I loved the Lawrence & Carly relationship, and I think that even if they had stayed and she had been with Bo, that ultimately she would have ended up with Lawrence. She was too drawn to him and the past, and I think their story could have had so much potential. To think that Lawrence was abusing her all those years is poor writing. He would have never. I'm holding hope that they'll leave it open for Michael to return in the future.
Thanks for the above said statements. I was and still am an avid Lawly fan. Lawrence would have never abused Katerina nor did he refer to her AS Carly. He called her that a few times but 99% of the time she was Katerina. And I agree, had it not been for Nicky, Lawrence probably would have killed himself because she was his life and his purpose. Sure he was an ass to most everyone but he truly loved Carly. That much was obvious & it spanned beyond obsession IMHO

Actually Michael joined B&B after DOOL they didn't go to NYC until after he left B&B and went to AMC.
