  • Zevran in DA2 wouldnt be so bad if DA2 wasnt such a terrible game.

  • i really liked zevran as a friend ,so i talked to him and such things , then he asked me for a massage and its nothing wrong about that right? so i acepted it and then.....he had sex with my male character ...WTF since then i dont like him anymore , but i guess its my fault

  • @ilovecoppercab Dude... did you really think that "massage" would be innocent??? :-D

  • Zev's so amazing o-o LOL his random Spanish accent always reminds me of Antonio Banderas. I didn't know elves could be Spanish |D

  • Good is if you iport sav of DA Origin in DA 2 , he appear in Act 3 in "Murder of Crows" . :D

  • Getting Zevran to fall in love you is the BEST THING EVER.

    I fangirl over him~

    He looks so UGLY in DA2!! It makes me sad D;

  • can anyone tell me what level i need to be to kill flemeth?

  • @drakomemories at the very least you need to be at level 15 on easy mode, then again that could be my city elf warrior talking

  • @drakomemories I reccomend leaving flemeth till just before the Landsmeet

Then take Wynne for her spirit healing, 1 rogue and 1 warrior of your choice

Also- as a dragon, a mage's cone of cold still freezes her, which is super handy imo xx

  • @tzepesh20 shrek? puss n boots? :)

  • @cerrenes i watched shrek today, and was thinking the SAME thing. Sadly, its not the same person.... :( Zev-Zev is soooo HOT! <3

  • @Tylkia oh i know it isn't. was making a reference to the movie =)

  • "I grew up amongst Antivan whores"

    "WHAT?!"

    "A fine plan"

  • *drools*

  • Dude this guy was so useless when you first get him it's better to use Leliana because by the time you encounter him you already have a lot of shit in Leliana already

  • i didnt let him in the party the dogs a btr fighter then him lol

  • Yay for the marilyn manson song at the end ;]

  • @TheBanned0ne he dosent fall in love with leliana (red head) he just flirts with girls thats all. he falls in love wit ur character

  • @TheBanned0ne that's not Leliana, that's a female main character someone made. Notice the different hair.

  • he betrayed me .....so I fucking killed him

  • @sergiu1231 your fault for not giving him enough attention >:T

  • @DistrictSin ur soo rite xD

  • Hahaha it's either Alistair or Zevran the ladys go for... Sorry Alistair, but Zevran wins!

  • this guy is a bisexulal twisted pervert... he is awsome!

  • I gave him the Dalish Gloves Gift and he approved me +26 so yea lol

  • one of my favorite characters in this game

  • bastard ... betrays you when you fall is a trap

  • @santichulito he will not betray you if you he likes you

  • Oh how I wish this man was real.

  • I. Love. Zeveran.

I'm just sad he's not in Awakening...

  • haha wtf zevran was hitting on my male character Oo. All elfs are g@y!

  • @L2RetailFTW no, just that zevran was raised in a brothel, and well he is bisexual

  • @L2RetailFTW It's not g@y if it's with an elf...

  • Could anybody please tell me the soundtrack´s name starting at 0:32. I searched through the whole DA soundtrack but couldn´t find it and i know it plays at the Calenhad-Sea-Area when you fight there.

  • Antonio Banderas voice acting a bisexual elf FTW. =)

  • i hate him he tried to kill me!

  • Whats the music at 0:32 ?

  • Little fucker didn't learn from his first encounter with me that I'm harder to kill than a dragon, and tried to gank me in Denerim. Poor bastard didn't stand a chance.

  • my hero was fucking him a lot of times! nice ))

  • Zevran is't a very hot and sexy <3

  • he's a fucking traitor this cocksucker turned on me and i killed him all that leveling for this creep was wasted

  • @darkdragonforever if you were nice to him and got his approval rating high enough he'll fight for you instead of betraying you. Its easier if your a girl tho, for obvious reasons. :P

  • @kanderous boooooooooooooo i was scared to get his approval rating past a certain point cause he was acting gay towards my character well now he's dead and so are his homo intentions all straight men say it with me YAAAAAAAAAY ding dong the fag is dead

  • @darkdragonforever You can turn down his affections just like with any other character, the only reason I can think you didn't just tell him no is that you secretly liked the attention from a gay video game character.

  • @kanderous you would like that you faggot that' why you'd make a statement like that

  • @darkdragonforever or it could just be an equally negative response to your original negative comment. Either way, it doesn't matter. You want to troll around be my guest.

  • @darkdragonforever

    Fail troll is fail

  • @Azhiralbiab oh wow you people still on this that's sad i moved you should to

  • @darkdragonforever Killing him was pretty stupid of you. He's the best DPS fighter you can get in the game.

  • @BlueCougar no what's stupid is the fact you didn't read why i killed kim fucking dumbass

  • what's the music in the trailer ?

  • "Antiva is a terrible place. All full of assassins and...Antivans." -Duncan.

Don't know about that:D I guess it's quote from "the Calling"-novel where Duncan is conscripted to grey wardens.

  • Cool video. I agree that DAO is very addicting, indeed...

I can help you to max out all your stats to Level 4 since the very beginning. Watch it all here: watch?v=zopos1B6Elc

  • My zevran tried to kill me so i played another game an killed him at our first meeting, besides i was a rogue leilana was already in my group so yeah sorry zevran

  • @majetix That was Zevran's low approval moment. All characters except Alistair, Dog and Morrigan have that moment, when they might attack you, I think. Even Leliana and Wynne will attack you, if you make a "Wrong" choice in those quest that is important to them. There is some ways to detour them, obvious is that you don't have them in your party when you do those things that make them angry.

    Don't know about oghren.

  • Damn i wish he was in Awakening. He's my favorite! So amazing! He BETTER be in the next one (if they make it)

  • Leliana- Lothering Tavern

Sten- Imprisoned Quinari that you must talk to blah blah blah to free him.

  • who's that.. girl with the red hair..

when you do recruit her ?

    explain, please.

  • leliana u get her in lothering if ur gone out of there u cant get her or sten

  • oo cool havnt gotten to this character yet looks like things getting more intresting

  • at some place in denrim he attack me again and i kill him in battle....ther is a reason because he do that>?

  • You have to have a high relationship with him for him not to betray you.

  • is there any chance that I could get this guy after the first encounter?

  • i defeated him in the ambush but he didnt join me im playing the first time and did i miss my chance to recruit him?

  • When you defeat his ambush, you can bound him and talk, or kill him. If you letting him alive, he will join you ;)

  • i defeated him nothing happend and i continiued my way and i think i lost my chance

  • after you defeat him you should stand near his body. then he wakes up and talks

  • He's hot <3

  • @funnyflyingdutchgirl He reminds me of the sort of guy who -- while not necessarily the most physically attractive person in the room -- can step into a bar and pull anybody he likes because he's so smooth and he's got all of the right moves. And the accent, of course. lol

  • @funnyflyingdutchgirl Damn straight

  • Bioware is the best!

  • luv Zevran 2 death!

  • OMG! i tough he could kill you!

  • I really love this guy! Such a badass!

  • wish i can make the character from the trailers... you know which one, the badass human lol

  • no, he was really cute, a bit like Bishop (<3). loved him. but I choosed Alistair.

  • :O how could u??? i love him sooo much and hes much hotter than alister! you must have broke his little assasin heart!

  • LOL i just killed Zevran

  • @Beorg63

he tried to kill me D:,before he tried,i saved, then took all his equipment off,so he couldn't use it against me :D

  • @Beorg63

yeah, i did that too, only to realize later that i could have engaged in a foursome with him, leiliana, and that chick at the Pearl.... and then i was like.... shit... that would have been awesome...haha

  • Zevran is awesome,He reminds me of puss in boots with his voice and his love for boots in the shrek movies.

  • Zevran is fucking hot. I'm a girl, and I made a guy character, and totally seduced his sexy elf ass. xD

    GIRLS LOVE GAY GUYS!!!! <3

  • Lol I Just want to the game to do exactly that. :D

  • He IS one of the best characters in the game! Hilarious, some great depth of character....the kinky, sauciness was a huge plus too..for mature gamers! I couldn't wait to hear banter between he and Alistair. Thanks EA!!

  • I chose to kill him.

    Win.

  • Zevran is amazing - he reminds me of Ezio.

  • right, except Zevran actually has a personality and has convincing motivations behind what he does.

All characters in assassin's creed 2 are no where near as developed as characters in Dragon Age, like not even remotely close.

  • Zevran kills because he is a slave.

Ezio kills because his family was killed by a templar - to unlock a conspiracy, and to save the world.

Honestly - it look like you are just a fanboy of this game.

Dragon age is awesome - but there are other games.

  • Ezio's revenge made sense for 20% of AC2, after that the story really turned bland.

If you have played both games, you would know AC2 has no memorable characters. Even tho you are constantly free-running around countless NPCs, you never feel like you are connected with them in anyway. Even the missions are more or less killing cookie-cutter NPCs.

AC1 had a better story than AC2, at least Altair's character developed and forged relationship with Malik that was actually meaningful.

  • @GeneCircuit

Yes, the revenge motivations go out of the window about 1/3 through the game - I agree.

But that's because the conspiracy comes out - If you download the Assassin's tomb Uplay DLC - you'll see the Auditore history; and even in that you get a great story.

The conspiracy to do with religion and philosophy is mind-blowing if you don't take 'religious' offense in it.

    Also - 'No memorable characters'?

Paolo was tortured by a guard for 15 years.

Bartolemo was a real guy who....

  • Not everyone who like a game has to be a fanboy you know. I played and was disappointed with AC2 long before playing DA:O.

Each companion and lot of NPC's have rich backgrounds and lore, that helps you understand their motivations in DA. But in AC2, you don't know anything about them except for the 2-bit cliche dialogue, and you don't care about them. AC2 is fun in free-running and combat, but it doesn't have any depth.

  • @GeneCircuit

...died in a battle whilst using his mercenaries.

Your mother was raped and doesn't speak a word for the rest of the game.

Your sister is a bratty kid who I wanted to punch the whole way through.

Also - do you really feel that close to the peasants who walk around with repeated dialogue in DA;O?

    Apples and oranges.

And Ezio is allot like Zevran in personality.

  • haha, oh come on, having read your description of the characters in AC2 only convinced me more how superficially constructed they were.

BTW, i did go thru the family crypt and read what's in there, but that's like reading a lore codex in DA, which is not what made my companions interesting.

  • Also Ezio might be an assassin's like Zevran, but their personalities are nothing alike. Zevran is completely amoral, and he enjoys pestering and jesting, he's also a seductionist who has a way with words. He always get the best of Wynne, Morrigan and Leliana in those idle conversations, as they always fall for his traps.

Ubisoft kept claiming Ezio is some sort of ladies man as well, but he didn't say or do anything that's particularly appealing, so again it's barely convincing.

  • it's very simple, just look at the writers for the game.

Writers for Bioware are all philosophy majors from Ivy League institutions, the characters are deep and interesting.

AC2' dialogues seem like they were written by a college freshman, boring, and cliched. Yea it's got great visuals, free running, and cool fighting animations, but thats it.

'your mother was raped and doesn't speak a word for the rest of the game', haha, how is this interesting at all?!

  • @GeneCircuit What's very simple is that you're comparing two of different genres together, which really doesn't sound very reasonable. It's like you would compare movies "Titanic" and "Face/off" against each other.

Role-playing game has no other choice than putting the weight to characters than action. Unless you go with the action role-playing, which of course never satisfies "the purist branch". Assasin's creed is action oriented, so of course weight rest in ACTION.

  • @Ruosteinenknight No, what's very simple is that I would pick Titanic over Face/off any day if I can only have 1 movie.

One movie won 11 oscars, and is epic, the other a comedic farce w/ some 'actions' as you call it.

Same with the games, just because one is RPG and one is action-adventure doesn't mean they are worlds apart. No law says u can't compare them.

You say RPG has no choice but to focus on characters, what about Mass Effect 2? Does that lack action?

  • @GeneCircuit You can, difference is that is it really "reasonable" not "Impossible".

Mass effect 2 is real example what happens when your focusing shifts to one area to another. "Repairs" seems to actually make it worse than mass effect one. Dialogue between characters had been culled, driving parts had been erased, even loading screens are gone. Action came at the expense of everything else, don't you agree?

  • @GeneCircuit Not to split hairs...but that Oscar thing...do you actually want to watch some movie because some say it was good?

I'm not about to miss mass effect 2 just because some who have played it said it gives you a bitter after taste. I'll see it myself and look is it justified and reasonable to say that. I was just pointing out, that your point might be unreasonable, just like you said my logic was faulty. Matter of opinion than "truth."

  • @Ruosteinenknight Wow I have no idea what you are talking about, or what point you are trying to make.

I'm merely saying a game should have deep characters, which is why AC2 was lacking. How is that unreasonable? Is the point you are making useful at all? What are you trying to say? that games shouldn't have deep characters because it's unreasonable to compare games from different genres?

I have played AC2, ME2, DAO, I know what I like and don't like about them. So cut your sophistry.

  • @GeneCircuit I did digress a lot, that's true.

I was just saying there is certain thing what you can expect. I rarely expect any game in action gengre to HAVE deep characters, there wasn't any in Half-life 2 either, just a surface cut. Does that make it a bad game then.

  • @GeneCircuit Hmm. I see what you mean. It's personal preference still, though. So if somebody who doesn't care about deep characters, but likes to play AC2 action and says that he/she forgives the things what you seem essential, he/she is wrong?

What comes to comparing, I would've used as a comparison another stealth-action game. Hitman, Thief, Metal Gear Solid.

  • @Ruosteinenknight Sophistry, eh? And here I thought paying attention what people say to you means you're observant. Besides, unless you find a way for me to make my AS-syndrome to go away, that "Sophistry" just won't fade away. Would make this easier.

This conversation with you by the way reminds my that dialogue between Tranquil and player character:)

  • @Ruosteinenknight Haha, sorry if I offended you.Although I was focusing on personal preferences and less on the staunch and cold objectivity used by the Tranquil.

One thing I have to disagree with you though, Half Life 2 had great and deep characters. What Valve did with character development was impressive, if you ever play through the commentary you will see.

  • @GeneCircuit I did. And read trough Prima-source, and "raising the bar."

Lot of this conversation actually went bad because my part. I realize now that I did chose my words with out thinking all the possible meanings. It's because one of your words might mean three or seven different things in my language.

"Unfair" might been better suited for this and with "deep" I didn't meant that characters were poorly made, but they didn't go using backgrounds like in Novels and such.

  • @GeneCircuit I actually feel with half-life 2 that the formula with them is "More with less." They don't go in length when they explain something in the game: they just give you the essential, and do with great audio-visual detail. Lot's of this is because of Source engine's astonishing facial muscle tech, and because of great voice actors.

The combine...great idea giving small bits of insight of them with the radio chatter. Unfortunately it didn't work quite like it should.

  • @GeneCircuit Combine's chatter, while interesting, was hard to hear by ear. Between all the noise coming from the world, you could only separate bits. A shame really, but then again FEAR's replica soldiers squad based communication borrowed the idea, just with different context.

Oh, and we probably should continue this with private messages. After all this IS for posting comments about the video, and not about history of gaming(Got carried away:)

  • @Ruosteinenknight Take Alex Vance, your relationship begins with her saving you, then you working and fighting along her, and eventually leading and saving her. You genuinely feel for them, when Eli Vance dies, there's true emotions being expressed, they are not cookie-cutter types used in AC2.

HL2 might not have novel-length dialogue like Dragon Age, but its characters are nevertheless deep and had believable and sympathetic personalities.

  • @Ruosteinenknight

Valve's trick is to focus on few characters (Eli, Alex, G-man, Kleiner, Dog, and even Magnesson), and do them exceptionally well. They each have distinct personalities that stands out and lovable. Their actions make sense and seem to matter a great deal.

  • @Ruosteinenknight Even the bosses in HL2 have personalities. Combine, Strider, Hunters, Advisors. Each one is introduced very carefully at first, where initially there's nothing you can do but look at them, and be afraid. And slowly you get to fight them.

Take the Hunter, your initial interaction was watching it almost killing Alex, so each time afterward when you encounter another Hunter, you are filled with hatred and raw emotion. That's how you do characters. AC2 just sucked period.

  • @Ruosteinenknight

You want to understand character development? Go play Prince of Persia 2008. That game was fantastic, and there was really only 3 real human characters. 99% of the game was spent with just one character, traversing a world that's barren. And yet I never felt alone playing that game.

But in AC2, you are surrounded by hundreds of NPCs, yet you don't feel any connection at all. That's when you know they did an exceptionally shitty job on the story and character development.

  • @Ruosteinenknight

I also compared AC2 to AC1 for the same reasons, are you gona tell me now that I can't compare them, because one is a sequel, and the other is not?

  • @GeneCircuit Nope. That would be more reasonable, but I still think comparing Halo to Homeworld would be unreasonable, just as comparing Metal gear solid 3 to ultima online would be. You can compare just as you said, like you can eat your steak with strawberries, but I wouldn't recommend:D

Besides, understanding and accepting are different things. I can understand why NWN1's original campaign was so boring(Lawsuits) but that doesn't mean I accept it.

  • If you probably want to see the "Worst" what Bioware has done, I suggest you go trough Neverwinter nights 1's Original campaign. Seems like all professionalism that bioware had with Baldur's gates vanished with it.

I still say it's their worst product, which has some redeeming qualities though. Modules, Expansions, game play. Lady aribeth ...*Shivers*

Of course many of friends have argued that Mass Effect 2 might be worse, in terms of over listening of the criticism.

  • I have yet to play mass effect 2 but it doesn't sound encouraging if some features what were liked in first game are completely erased in the sequel.

  • @cmwissy

and i,good man,am like zevran and ezio as well, now may i rest my head in your boosom?o.0

  • @cmwissy

He's a slave? I just thought he worked for the Crows.. but I see your reasoning behind it. But still He could have turned down the offer couldn't he?

  • Nope - he was a kid working at a bordello and he was bought as a slave from the crows.

  • Has the air of a gentleman but still spouts preverted poetry.

  • even though this dudes Bi, he still looks like the type where you can just shove a huge juicy wang up his asshole and he can take it

  • Dude, I know you're gay, but seriously. -.

  • Couldn't agree more.

  • why is everyone posting the fucken website yesyes weall knowSTOP NOW ITS ANNOYING!!! goodvideo :]

  • I'm 'with' morrigan atm but I'm trying to get that easy lover achievment behind her back ; )

  • love this guy! he ended up being my boyfriend =)

  • Actually, I think he's just a tease. :)

  • Love Zevran, he's my favorite character, Which is strange because I used to be all about Morrigan but I guess I'm just a sucker for a sense of humor, a tragic past and elf assassins.

  • one of my favorite characters, along with morrigan of course

  • okay ONLY reason i kept him alive is becuases he was funny Thats it

  • ditto. He is hilarious.

  • lol yeah. He reminds me of Anthonio Banderas LOL

  • mine tooo

  • Haha, you gotta love Zevran...

When you meet him he offers his... services... LOL. But hey, anybody know if you can do more than one of the party members? I have a hard time picking ;P

  • I was doing Morrigan and Zevran for a while into the game, until Morrigan made me chose D:

  • ZOMG that scene where you're sleeping with Zevran, that chick has my characters hair style and color rofl

  • I grew up with Antivan whores..

    WHAT!

  • rumour goes that you can have a romance with him as a male char also...

  • Confirmed. He's the only bi male romance option. Which is why he's going to be my pick to romance.

  • that's right ;D

  • LMAO, he grew up with whores.

    "WHAT?!"

  • asshole
