MrNCSILENCER why does it take so long for the NATFB to approve a SBR stamp it seems silly I don't understand why & it seems like the amount of time is getting longer I have one stamp for an SBR and am awaiting a second.
@josephtorres11 It probably has something to do with the fact that there are only 10 (TEN) examiners handling the tens of thousands of NFA Forms sent to the ATF from all across the entire country. Current wait time (as of 11/10/11) in NC for Form 4 transfers is 5-7 months. Sucks, but there's not much we can do about it. ATF also recently changed to a "by-state" approval method rather than alphabetically. There are delays while all the examiners catch up. Hope this helps. Good luck!
what if you have nfa weapons/supressors and you move. assuming you move from one qualifying state to another do you need to file any additional paperwork?
Perhaps the best answer, is: nobody really knows. "Wearing out" a silencer is not really an issue with recreational shooting. You'd have to consider several variables too: type of baffle material in silencer, caliber of rounds being shot through it, full-auto use, etc. If anyone reading this has ever worn out a silencer, please comment on your experience. I'm curious to know myself how many thousands (or tens of thousands) of rounds it takes before performance starts to suffer.
what is the life span of a suppressor? I have no in dept knowledge of them but in Metal Gear Solid 3, I had to have extra ones because it would eventually wear out and I'd have to change it. Is this a gimmick in the game or an actual fact?
Sorry if this question sounds dumb but I like I said I have no knowledge on them.
