@TRANSFORMER2508 Its not hard. We went through AOPA's insurance arm and keep the amount of coverage down. We have liability coverage, but not hull insurance. We're taking a risk, but keeping the price down.
thanks a lot for your recomendations. Today I made some approaches in a similar plane, a Rans-16 Shecary, the only problem seems to be our short grass runway of 700m, diferent from your airport, who is a real dream.
thank you for giving me the possibility to see alll these flight impressions which help me to prepare myself . I have yust finished my Glasari 2 RG, the plane has been test flown by a professional and now its up to me to see if I have enough skills to fly it.
I had to teach myself how to fly our Glasair. We did 5 or 6 high-speed runs, then without rotating too much, let the plane come off on her own. We flew to a nearby airport with a 7,500 foot runway and took our sweet time in the first flanding. Keep your speed up until you are in ground effect. I don't know how the model 2 differs from the model 1, but be cautious and systematic in your test flying (you are the one being tested). There will be surprises. Good luck.
I hope the comment on music and videos isnt taken as a slight. Some of us are reduced to enjoying through others the experience of flight. I do appreciate the fact that people are willing to share the fun.
I agree with hannibal6591 about the music played in these types of videos. The worst is Danger zone. I really curse that tune when incorporated into aircraft videos.
Well, to each his own, I guess. Personally I like adding a music piece that reflects my experience and the mood I felt in the flight. I agree however, Danger Zone is thoughtlessly overused.
@N73RZ The builder bought the kit in 1979 and finished it in 1988. During that time, I guess, he "saw the light" and added the back window. I like how it looks, especially with the darker paint job over the canopy.
I'm still trying to work out why people put aircraft videos on here and then drown out the sound of the aircraft with booming music. As a pilot I have a look at these to hear the aircraft as well as see it, but I guess each to his own.
you lucky guy......

You have the "back" window on your 1RG? I have not seen that on a 1 before, only the 2's and III's.
