Alienware can suck it, don't bother. I bought an Alienware for $4300 spent 3 years with tech support trying to fix the issues it had out of box, never ever worked couldn't run any of the games I wanted to and mentioned at purchase. Avast anti-virus  free and It will catch it before it installs and as for norton ,a joke. I just had to work on a laptop that had the new nortons and it allowed the virus "vista anti-virus 2010" to come on in and take over. it is a crappy anti virus I think

haha amen, I have a router and I still use AV on each box... I've gotten less noid about firewalls once I learned the router a bit more. Like most people, routers only occured to my every day use over the past few years, was a dedicated line until then for my households.

I meant a completely offline, not plugged in computer though ;)

Spyware Doctor (unpaid for) is fine, but if you use combofix, u need Avenger freeware (beware it can detect things that don't exist)

Combofix (last resort, use Avenger to remove locked registry entries it adds that detects as bad things)

MVPS hosts file (for blocking bad sites)

Do not leave Spyware Doctor running/active/boot, it makes your computer run like garbage.

opti inputs are a waist of time if you have ever looked inside a amp you will see that it just adds a step to the output (a small light transmitter that directly converts the coax output and a receiver that does the same on the other end) just use a good coax lead much more reliable
