@port2814 I'll agree Jonathan has definitely boldened his personality and handles himself well with guests. I can't watch his program without having splitting sides from laughing. His guests I am sure love his banter I remember the Lady Gaga interview has me in stitches and Brand is getting funnier by the minute.
I love hugh laurie, he should forever play an upper class twit, i think its his best work. i like House but blackadder and a bit of fry and laurie is the best.

Both of these guys have changed not necessarily for the better I miss them both. Sometimes age doesn't always get better he may have more experience but it changed him. Poor Hugh I miss the old you.
Same as some of the others, perhaps it was youth I am not sure. He doesn't sound like himself, certainly not in any interview I have seen recently. I dunno maybe I just wish he would come back home. BBC and ITV are not the same or as popular and the programmes are at times dismal now that reality shows have also taken over and the quality isn't there. Stephen can't do it all himself although he has tried "Kingdom" is a great show.
@EREproductions Thank you for agreeing with me I am glad someone here sees what I mean. I love Stephen Fry so much I am following him on Twitter he is so funny and as smart or smarter than his character Jeeves. I hope Kingdom comes back on ITV
@rileyandstella So do I, he's very cool! But I know that Hugh Laurie and Jonathan Ross have become really famous and good for them, but I kind of miss having Hugh do little works for Britain....and Gosh, he's 51 now.
@EREproductions Hugh may very well retire from show business and never do a British production again (sigh) very sad for such a great actor. Don't get me wrong he is allright in House it's eerily similarity to Fortysomething if you have seen it. I hope with Stephen's good measure of sense he will come home to Britain.
@rileyandstella I have seen fortysomething (brilliant stuff) but I have to say I do LOVE House, I think it's a fantastic show but I doubt he'll retire after it's finished. I'm sure, some distant, distant day Hugh and Stephen will team up once more.
@EREproductions I certainly hope so but it won't be for a while. Currently he is on holidays in Swaziland as I am following Stephen on Twitter. I enjoy his quizzes and commentary. I have seen some of House but miss the old Laurie so much I can't bear it but glad that others are supporting his career. I am happy for him no doubt but the UK is sorely needing programming of value and even Stephen said so about BBC and I agree with him.
Nice to see the above comments in comparison with the vile bandwagon everyone is getting on after the phone prank. Ross is indeed very funny and a national treasure. I miss him already. Wossy, please come back!!
Sorry, not a 'host-fan', 'Laurie-fan'.^^ But anyways, I just loved this interview. Really funny and entertaining. Huhuh, seemed like they 'flirted' a little, of course in a really amusing way. Liked it. Amazing to see Laurie at his young age. Didn't change too much, if you ask me. Just something about the look in his eyes changed. You can feel that he has gained a lot of experience, when you see him now.
Uh, hate to point it out, but Hugh Laurie IS getting older, so it shouldn't be a huge damned surprise that he isn't acting as "youthful" as he did when he was, well... younger.
I can't believe how much 'Woss' has changed over the years. Back then he looked like someone who was 'trying' to look as if he belonged on tv and not quite succeeding. He looked like a clone of every other young media type you used to see back then. I suppose you have to get established before you can push the boat out, but now he really has come into his own. Highly individual and really funny. Nice change from his 'smarmy' brit award presenting days...
I love how when he makes jokes during interviews I genuinly laugh. I watch other actors and actresses and they try to be funny and you just kind of smile and say "Good try...". Well he is after all *sigh* Hugh.
I love how British people on talk shows are so polite, well-spoken, and charming! (as an american I'm just not used to that at all, so clips like this are a real treat :P ) It's just adorable!
Me too! TV shows these days have all the charm of a wet sock! and too much melodrama. Heartbeat is on it's way out though some say it's overdue. I like shows like J&W because they are fun and light and not serious and crude like most of the shows are today. Or maybe because I am getting older too I can appreciate them more.

I like them both; I think his natural teeth are 'cuter' while his new teeth are more in the 'sexy' category.

'Changed', I'm not so sure... Grown in confidence, almost certainly... for both :-)
What do you miss that you don't see now?

I feel so sorry for Ross and Brand, such a stupid mistake and so overblown by those media types. Bah.

Man, that clip probably makes him feel sick whenever he sees it. Rowers are traumatised by losses like that XD
