open your hood and put your hands over exhaust outlets see if steam comes from engine bay under handle bars
thats the easiest way to tell if theya re gone
although, if this sounds like its comming from under you seat take the heat shields out, if its comming from engine bay you may need to shim secondary, or your exhaust donuts are gone and you better change all 4 at once because it AINT fun to change ive had to do it.. lots of things have to come off, thats all im going to say!!!!!!
