@iConquerYou : Possibly, since King is playing a right handed guitar upside down ( the thinnest string is closer to his body ) his bends get more leverage. Also both guitars are tuned a half step down ( Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb ) making the bending easier!
i just realised that ray is dead...i did not know, fuck i am old...all the musicians that i love seems to be dead...but they are living anytime i press the play button
Sat in the front row with a bunch of other young blues geeks and saw Albert King play this in a little South Side club in Chicago when I was about 19... 1969 or so. The band did the whole Live Wire Blues Power set... only live. About tore the top of my head off. A great performance and an education.
So beyond phenomenal; seriously one of the best versions of a basic Blues staple I've ever had the honor of hearing. The entire session is amazing, and this comes early, but defines so thoroughly both of their styles that it is almost beyond compare. Harkens back to the duels between Clapton and Allman in Derek and the Dominoes....Two Artists at their best dueling it out for the pure beauty of the music they could create
@quanka123 Look i don't want to get into an argument but just because people like me and you meaning 14-16 year old's like Blues does not mean we have to state we like it and we are also young. Does it matter if you like it because we all do that's why we clicked on it. You could of just said you liked the blues Who asked for your age.
@ErsiNur1 Man you just need ta chill man i just wanted to state that i liked the blues at my age cuz most people my age like that rap shit man i definitely dont wanna start nuthing man so just chill man
@TheInvincibleViolet haha yaman thr full version of this is available on the Cd/dvd "Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan: In Session" it was originally edited so commercial breaks could be thrown in, but the full versionsa are still around.
@axlolddog i wish! we lost the king december 92. music will never be this good. both my heroes together! maybe p diddy and jay z should take some lessons here.
@themattnoll Just think - the modern equivalent today would be Bieber being mentored by Usher, as SRV was mentored by Albert King. How bloody dreadful is that. At least the King's King is still here. Long may he live.
Albert King is playing a 'right hand' guitar! Phenomenal.

In my opinion Albert was always more dynamic in his bends than stevie if you know what I mean. That's why Stevie never sounded exactly like Albert.

"Go Ahead" Albert says when they get warmed up. Gotta take that in context. At the time Stevie was an apprentice at best. Wow thank God for video.
