I'm not familiar with the songs of R.E.M., but the first song I heard from them was this one. It gave me goosebumps. It really touched me. Michael Stipe is a great musician, his live performance is far better than the studio version (which is also great). He's a genius!

Instead, it is a professionally produced video whose intent is presumably to promote the band. Viewer feedback is thus an important part of the process -- "if you can't say something nice, say nothing" is not in play here. I love REM's music (and politics), and merely put in my $.02 about the production values. NOW I am off to do something more interesting. :)

I wish the camera operators and editors would just hold the dumb camera still, keep it focused, and let us appreciate the band's performance. REM's quality stands on its own, and is only diminished by these amateurish camera tricks. The beginning of the Led Zeppelin DVD has the same nonsense, ruining an otherwise great video.

The new DVD has a great style. It fits perfect to Stipe's performance and the concerts in 2005. Beautyful and awesome cut! An enjoyment for the eyes.

Thanks for sharing gusy! One of the best songs of the shows and definitely THE song from Up. Still having to get used to the unusual editing of the video...it will take me some time till I get to like this dvd but from experience those things tend to become my favourites in the end :)
