LOL this is awesome, love the fact he plays "air plays" all the instuments and it looks so reaistic like you belive he can actually play them
his songs are so legendary. ace performance, and the fact that even though its a kinda stiff audience he carries on and so well just makes me respect him all the more
To answer some FAQs, he's always barefoot because it helps him imagine that he's in his living room and therefore relaxing him. Kinda like the "imagine the audience is naked" theory.
Also i would like to say to those of you who play these instruments that he is actually playing (well, air playing) the right notes and drum movements and stuff.
No he is right, Lee Evans does something a bit similar with invisible instruments in spotlights. Go ahead and search for it, doesn't hurt to explore comedy
as funny as the guy is, do you ever get the impression that he doesnt feel entirely comfortable on stage? not what he puts on, which he exagerrates, but just his demeanour sometimes.
maybe he's like mitch hedberg, mitch had acute stage fright so he did his act in sunglasses and kept his eyes closed! I'd say tim just gets a little nervous every now and then
Best gig I've ever been to. Still can't believe how close we were, my sister just paid a £100 to see Lee Evans and was about 20 rows back.
I think, looking at your videos, I was sitting right behind you, a lad with glasses on your left joining with an air bass guitar and someone on your right with a goatee. Bit weird 'ey?
Still great to see a girl with taste. That your first time seeing him?
Heh, I guess "girl with black hair" is a more common look than I thought.
My first time as well though I had heard him on Mark Watson Makes The World Substantially Better.
Also I had to see him after reading this great review
"Minchin looks like a direct cross between Bill Bailey and someone infinitley more attractive who has just been electrocuted then told to get on with it."
I was trying to get a ticket to his paramount show but the site wasn't working.
Hey I was there at udderbelly in Brighton too. very front fight in the middle, had to pull my feet in when he did the michael jackson spin at the start so he didnt trip over them.
Amazing show, very different and his face has so many vivid expressions.
I'd say he can play them, whether he can play them like he mimes them is a different story :) however I also wouldn't be surprised if he can play them all.
i saw him in this little theater in nyc that sat about 50 people and after the show i got to go up and shake his hand and get an autograph im gettin it framed but i have so many laughs from that concert especaly him making fun of my older brother
saw him in a england in maidstone, you're so lucky i would love to shake his hand and get an autograph but i did feel he was singing "you grew on me" in my direction!

I just saw him at the Udderbelly. There was less than three hundred seats and I was about ten foot from him.
One guy in the front row gave him a high five as he came back from the toilets.

HA! I was there! That was an amazing night wasn't it!? I can't believe so many people just kept getting up to go to the toilet!
