@jdebler we did give u the G8, new cop car (longer wheel base then the G8). We also gove u the revamped pontiac gto. those were from holden. Dont forget we have the ford falcon (i hate it but thats because I'm a holden guy. In Aus, its Red v Blue aka holden v ford just like chev v ford in the states). Here in Aus, there are talks of the G8 (Holden Commodore) being sold as a chevy in the next couple of years. The commodore has been upgraded since the g8.

@marcmcphee u know the camaro is actually designed by the Holden Motor Company in Australia. They also gove us the Pontiac G8 and last Pontiac GTO. They are also providing chevy with the crown victoria replacement for cop cars. The new cop car is a G8 with a longer wheel base and more cabin room. The Camaro and G8 are built off the same platform.

The pictures don't do these things justice. Go to a dealership and see them up close, they are beautiful machines. I got lucky enough to drive my dad's friends 2SS, and man that thing was solid as a rock, it planted in the turns and didnt feel squeamish at all.

The new Camaro does not carry the same engine as the new ZR-1 it carries a detuned 6.2 LS-2 while the ZR-1 has a Supercharged version of this they are not really the same thing as they are about 225hp apart. GM made the mistake once of making a car run with the Vette back in the late 80's the Buick Grand National, I can assure that GM will never make that mistake again. While the new Camaro looks great always remember it is the Corvettes younger and less powerful brother.

Ford cant make any power off just motor. they have to throw a supercharger on everything just try and keep up with what ever GM makes.

The cobra for one just so they could keep up with the LS power f bodys and the GT500 for another. Hell I can put a cam in a 5th gen camaro ($32,000) for around $500 bucks and kick the shit out of the gt500 ($45,000+).

Ford is SVT...SVT is just as much apart of the GT500 as shelby...If not More...Shelby is just a name...SVT is the brains behind the performance of the new GT500. The base 07-08 GT500 can run low 12's with a good driver on street tires. The KR version can run mid 11's on street tires...Throw on a set of Drag Radials and those cars are easily mid low 11's (KR) and high 11 for the base 500...No automaker in the world can boast making a 500 hp car for under 45 grand...NO ONE.
