We always have referendums in Ireland and it's not unheard of to have them on the same topic more than once. There's precedent in Irish law for this, we had more than one referendum on divorce, abortion and other things. We weren't told anything, and if you knew anything about the Irish psyche you'd know that we can't be bullied into anything, 800 years of fighting the British easily shows that. The first time it failed because we would have lost our permanent commissioner, now we'll have one.
