Dinan Stroked M5 vs Turbo M3

@stringsforlife Dinan has an engine package that increases the "stroke" of the motor or how far up and down the piston travels. This increases the displacement from 5L and 507hp to 5.7L and 630hp with other tuning as well

@dfjaws  Nope he is not stage 3 or has the Asuka hood. That is Roberts car that has the CSL bumper, Asuka hood and is stage 3. Racemxm3 is still a stage 2.5

haha, go ahead get the HPF, I've been running the Dinan Supercharger on my M3 for 3 years, with loads of track time and fun on the streets, without a single problem. We had a guy show up with his HPF Stage 2.5 at the track last summer, he did a lap and half and put a con rod through his block. The extra money you pay for Dinan goes to reliability. The HPF kits are alright for Drag Pulls, but never sustained.

I wonder if HPF honors any kind of warranty, when their kits cause a motor to blow. I agree that Dinan is top notch with R&D and reliability

Dinan offers no motor warranty, they do warranty the s/c if it failes. but they do not repair the motor. HPF has replaced the 2 motors that have failed, the cause was owner related not kit related..fact as well

@atoam I'm pretty sure HPF has taken care of the two motor failures that have occurred without any cost incurred by the owner. Do you honestly believe that HPF didn't spend some serious time on R&D on these turbo system? Please...

Dinan is very overpriced for what you get and the supercharger systems use the Vortech units which are notorious for serious failure. I'd go HPF any day of the week without hesitation because they do take care of their customers on a personal level.

First off your full of shit. No HPF stage 2.5 has ever failed. No HPF car has ever put a rod through the block. Dinian is nothing other than a over priced joke. 2 dinan s/c were at Tacoma BMW both with blown motors summer 2008. Dinan is over priced and slow and that is a fact.

i read at the dinan site that for the stroker kit for the M5 makes about 611hp and 420 punds of torque..thats what it said..lol

611!!! that like 519 rwhp... hpf m3 stage 2.5 must have around 640 hp on just pump alone!!so the M has like 544 rwhp. maybe its a stage 2??? i really want help on this one!!!

The HPF M3 was definitely running on pump fuel, no methanol. I had left DSC on by mistake, which cuts power when it detects wheel spin. With DSC off the HPF car is a lot faster.

Pump makes 555 whp 448 ft-lb of torque

Pump and methanol 612/535

Race Fuel 590/456

Race and methanol 667/551
