great to see. I had a huge pit bull as a teenager and he was my best friend. peaple should try to understand these beautiful proud and brave animals. peaple were allways afraid of mine and he was just a big lovable puppy

MMMM. If you don't know, SHOW DOGS (Pits and Amstaffs) have their ears cropped. It is a standard for showing. We own 10 pits - but we do not crop ears unless it for the purpose of SHOWING.

That is a cute video. It seems weird to me that you Pit Bull ears and tail isn't clip, but not a lot of people do it. All the pit bulls I have been around came from the people that owned htem and had them clip and I have trained ones that had their tail clipped because the owner before the one that had it had it clipped or they had to take it off because of dog fighting. I'm glad you are teaching your son that dogs like us are kind and loving.

You'll find that the majority of pet pitties do *not* have their ears cropped. There is no ethically defensible reason for it. Some do it because they think it makes the dog look "tough," which is silly and doesn't help the breed's already beaten down public persona. The only other reason is for dog fighting, which is reprehensible at best.

It's also part of the breed standard. If you ever want to show a pitbull (only registerable through the UKC and a few others) then the ears must be cropped.Having the tail cropped is not acceptable for a show pittie.

so cute. thank you for helping to spread the message that pitbulls are NOT bad dogs. I hate that there are some local jurisdictions pushing to make them illegal. I have never met a pitbull (pure or mixed) that I didn't love, and that didn't love me back... even if I was a stranger to the home.

i totally agree, i've heard that pitbulls are actually one of the best dogs to have it you have a family. i wanted one, but my dad thinks they're bad dogs :(
