@jojoyoyo2006 I disagree.Quast warped the melody in such a way that it sounds far too syncopated and uneven. Hadley Fraser was brilliant when I saw him a few weeks ago

I saw him in Les Mis in the West End a couple of weeks ago. This clip doesn't do him justice, he was truly sensational all the way through. Superb actor, wonderful voice. Well done Norm!

I think Norm is good, but why not have Earl Carpenter playing Javert? He is too good to play a small role, such as the Priest

Norm has a great voice and all . . . but for some reason I just don't like his rendition of this song. I like him as Javert through most of the play, but not this song.

Of course, I can only think of Phillip Quast when I hear this song. And his is just amazing.

I had the 25th anniversary concert DVD for christmas, and until then i'd never heard of Norm Lewis... but i've fallen in love with his voice... he's an amazing Javert!

Noem Lewis doen't do a bad job but Philip Quast will always be the best. He was able to make Javert so mean yet sympathetic. He has such a rich voice that when he sings... i melt. You feel all of the emotions.

My dad went to high school with him! They used to hang out after school, Norm singing and my dad playing trumpet.

Norm Lewis sings this role of Javert really well! I know that Phillip Quast sang the role really well back 1995 but you can't compare the 2 singers this time it was Norm Lewis' turn to play Javert not Philip Quasts.

Quast was the only Javert who could make the character seem so cruel yet so ...sympathetic. He really acted the part well!

He was an amazing Javert!!! Phillip Quast is completely iconic obviously, but during his suicide, Norm brought tears to my eyes...he played it wonderfully and was completely brilliant. I saw it at cinema and his voice is completely all consuming...brilliant.

There has literally never been anyone so lovely to listen to AND look at. In terms of actually being Javert, Terrence Mann's my favorite, but Norm Lewis has the most gorgeous voice (and everything else).

@Mrdv904k the Barbican cast was better than the O2 cast definitely, but i really like the 10th anniversary cast as well

@Mrdv904k I wasn't really fond of Thenardier in that one. He was definitely a good actor, but he wasn't spontaneous enough. Thenardier should be over-the-top, but he was the same throughout the whole thing. Other than that, I loved the cast, too:D

A good Javert, quite good.... my favorite will always be Terrence Mann or Philip Quast, but Norm Lewis does it well enough.
