People's last names would be the same as the king's last name because they didn't want to be killed by him. and nguyen was the last dynasty, thats why. so for example, lets say the Ly Dynasty ended and the Trann dynasty began. all the families with the last name Ly would change it to Trann. Nguyen is my last name
