I got on top of the whomp kings head before even in super mario 64 its a glitch its very easy in super mario 64 its hard in super mario galaxy 2 i flinged off of the whomp king and i flew like 30 feet in to the black hole what a fail! XD

I know what you mean, i was playing super mario galaxy 2 and then i unlocked this galaxy and it looked kinda familiar. so i played it and realized it was one from the nintendo 64 and so many memories came back that i just wanted to cry. The two good things that were changed in this game is the appearance of the thwomps and whomps. in n64 they looked retarded with all blue and stupid looking faces but know they are truly awesome. it would have been more awesome if they brought back king bomb omb.

They certainly upped the difficulty from the SM64 game to a point where he's easy but decent. Like, his slam attack stuns you if you're on the ground. That's pretty sweet.

I didn't mind Whomp King using Digga leg's theme when you battle him. That's my favorite song in the game. If they used a different theme, I would of been disapointed and won't stop complaing that that they should of used a remix of the SM64 boss theme for the Whomp King ONLY!

I love how they put the giant Whomp on top of the fortress before you fight the Whomp King; it serves as a reminder to the time in Super Mario 64 when the Whomp was just a large Whomp. Great rendition of a nostalgic level.
